I understand the frustration. You can choose to feed them when they are in veg. The reason why alot of people dont feed them in veg because they use soils that have nutrients in them already and that lasts them a good 6-8 wks without having to feed. I feed them in veg whenever I feel like it or if they look like they need something . I use FF happy frog soil, FF ocean forest and promix. They seem to like this :::shrugs:: find out what works best for you.

The fox farm line isn't organic, so you might have to keep a closer eye on your pH. You won't have the same sort of active beneficials to keep the pH in check. I'd suggest following the feeding schedule for now, and reading up on how to listen to your plants, so to speak. They'll tell you if they need something more or less.

Cheers!

I have 13 plants-...........1st time grower? grow one
dude at the grow store told me..........fuck him.....lol. get a good grow guide, and get your own answers (or, ask me :) )
i didn’t test the PH...........why? do you want to do this, or not? I don't test ph of shit in soil.....but you thought you should, and didn't.

imploppah attitude..........carry water buckets of water up temple steps until night.

now, let's see these pics.

yeah......sure. they'll get uglier too, imo. if they are due for a drink, make it a hefty one. no more ferts until normal growth is resumed. imo

I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure it's not the best thing to feed your plants nutes with EVERY watering. I was under the impression that you alternate feeding nutes with every other watering at the most, and it's better to let there be some runoff of water out the bottom of the pots - and if not, then flush them occasionally for salt buildup? Maybe someone else with more knowledge could expand

Hey guys; Yea so i use Fox Farms “Happy Frog Soil” too. I was told so many different things its ridiculous! Everyone has something different to say or add; and they usually always contradict the last.

So recently i flushed my plants; I figured they were nutrient burnt. Some of the newer leaves coming in were twisted. They looked wilted, burnt, and the tips are CLAW’d . So the guy at the grow shop told me thats a Calcium deficiceny, however i read when the tips are claw’d its a “NITROGEN TOXICITY”

Too much Nitrogen; What do you all think?

So i flushed them yesterday; I didn’t use PH’d water because i figured they’re already FUCKED up with all the ACID i used originally.

Let me know what you think; Im adding my grow journal on 420magazine.com; check it out.

This is the same soil I’m using Happy frog; but see in the beginning weeks of veg i never used any nutes, just Non ph’d tap water, but i started getting distorted leaves and wilted looking with small burn marked on them, so i was told to start giving them Nutes, so i purchased Fox Farms Nute line, Grow Big, Big Bloom, and Tiger Bloom ; I gave them 3 tsp of Grow Big, and 1/2 of Big Bloom and did this on monday and again on wednesday; this was before anyone told me to only feed them once per week; but still they were showing signs of nutrient burn before i even gave them anything; but naturally it got worse; So yesterday i flushed them, after giving them CAL MAG because someone told me they were having calcium deficiencys because they’re tips were curling downward; I still don’t know what the hell to do!!

SO danny boy- Whats the burn from? I’d like to know so i can avoid this, is it the nutes or the light?? how can i avoid this
It could be stress from the light being too close, I do believe it is shriveling up due to heat! I have noticed by observing a lot that the girls don't like temps above 80 keep around 76. Also soil will feed plants so at first u don't need to go too crazy with nutes

Heres the remaining pictures that i’ve taken today! Now please know that My plants have been looking beautiful. Im going to give you as much information so you can help me. So about a week ago a couple of the leaves started getting little yellow spots, and looking a bit wilted. My grow room gets pretty hot, but not that hot, hottest is 85 degrees.

So I thought maybe burn or heat of some kind, then i thought MITES or Pests. So i purchase DR DOOM’s Pest spray spricifically for plants. I searched my plants up and down and didn’t see any tiny specs or pests.

So up until today i’ve had about 3 miniture fans blowing directly on my plants, so much so they were blowing in the breeze, i thought this would be good for them; I was told different today.

In addition I sprayed my leaves with the nutrient solution at night just after lights out, See before i sprayed them during the day, not knowing that the water was being magnified and possibly burning the leaves because they were still under the lights. SO i stopped that and did it just after lights out.

These are all the different event that have happened hopefully someone will know something.

Ive never checked the PH before feeding them, i am doing that right now though first time
It really looks like heat stress

Please help Me! !

So i believe i made a very bad Beginners mistake.

I have 13 plants- Very first grow ever. Purchased 5 Feminized “ICE” seeds, received 10 free from Nirvana. 2 never germinated. and the rest were doing great until recently!

So i just purchased Nutrients from Fox Farm. 3 different bottles. The directions I may have misread. Its a funky looking Chart hard to read, so anyways dude at the grow store told me to take the measurements and cut them in half/ so where they call for 3 TSP, i only used 1.5 But i fed them on 6/20 with nutrients, i didn’t test the PH balances and then i turned around and fed them on 6/22 with Nutrients again. So i was reading Nutes instructions it says only feed them twice a week. So i would image not supposed to feed them within 2 days with nutes right?? Anyways, hope these pictures help you all. Now i posted multiple threads within the past 2 weeks about a couple of my plants leaves having small yellow spots, and looked to be a little wilting going on. We ruled out Mites, and other pests. But now it seems more of the plants leaves are getting the same way. I’ve inspected each leaf very closely, no bugs. I also purchased this “DR DOOM” Nautral Bug spray- Google it, and I also made a Nutrient solution and sprayed my plants leaves at night. I thought that may have been the reason, but to be honest. ALL 5 of my FEMS nothing is wrong with them?? STRANGE!!!!
Also when they are younger if they get stressed like that it is common to have stunted grow it may take a little longer but it will work it's self out
