can someone please advise me....
i have been growing 5 plants for 9 weeks and 2 days and 1/3rd of the flowers have turned amber brown and the flowers have started to droop a little. They are a little sticky and are showing good signes of THC production
is this normal for this time period.
My last grow took 12 ish weeks to complete so i feel these are a little early.
any advice is greatfuly recieved.

9 weeks into flower? or 9 weeks from seed? those def dont look 9 weeks from seed and if they are please tell me the strain.

different strains mature faster than others. if its 9 weeks since you put them into flowering id say thats about normal for most strains. i cant really tell from the pics tho cause all 3 are focused on the backround and not the buds lol.

these are white widows started on 8th sep 07 from seed. Under 400HPS .
I was told it may be heat but i have fans on the plants and the temp is around 18-20c.

sorry about the pics, bad camera.
the seeds came from my last grow and were about a month old. They germinated very fast.

i thought it may have been burnt by the lamp. the plant is about the same size as the others. And the yellow is only on the top of this one.

Try using stakes the buds are usually top heavy and to absorb the light you need to use stakes to hold the bud properly so it can absorb as much light as possible- Mrsmokey

well, my friend... There are many ways to tell if the buds are ready. First of all the finish times are different for most strains. Some are ready in enjoy after 44 days from sowing and there are some that require 16 weeks to ripen. So your strain looks good at 9 weeks which indicates it is Indica dominate. Go buy a little hand held microscope (they are fairly inexpensive) After examining the trichomes, if they are amber in color... its harvest time.

Another way, is to use your own judgement... If the buds are sticky, smelly, and calling your name. Snip them off and enjoy. But the leaves should begin to loose there pigment from the flowers sucking all the sugars into the tips. stop watering a few days before harvest and it will pull the last bit of resins to buds... hope i was some help.

I would give it one last good flushing before harvest. Your plants look great though, looks like you'll be yielding a good amount.

I beleive that yellowing on the tip is from being too close to the light. I use a 600w hps and CFL's for side lighting and had one of my CFL's come uptied and fried a side nug within an hour and that is what it looked like. Bad news, the nug couldn't be revived, it smelled decent still but smoked very harsh. Good news, it won't ruin the rest of the nug only the currently dried out part.
