Hey guyz & grrlz!
Dumb question (like all my questions).
I have 200w 8U CFL and a economy white horizontal open-end reflectors.
My reflector hood has 2 socket positions. Upper & or lower.
I am using the lower.
I figured for heat dissipation from under hood, and so my plant are not right up in there.
With the bulb horizontal, the top U's of the bulb seem like wasted lumens.
The top U's upwards lumens have to go 4 or 6 inches before they can reflect back.
And the top U's downward lumens, well, they just shine on the bottom's upward lumens.
LOL.
Should I glue mylar to the inside of the reflector?
Will it help bring more lumens downward then white will?
Or should I buy a vertical reflector?
How to maximize my energy used to go towards my plants with a 8U CFL?
