well im not very knowledgeable with cameras and im hoping someone can tell me the catch to this great deal?

is it maybe not really 8mp?

The stats are there, but think about it, 8 MP cam with night vision for ten bucks? Do the math yourself, does that make sense to you?

haha they said they will void the warrenty if you give them Neg feedback before they can fix it.

But yeah, you get what you pay for, but I've got some hidden gems from china before.

no thats why i made the thread. i fiigured its possible the prices have dropped to dirt cheap by now.

its actually 1.2 mega pixels not 8, if you have a loko at the title its called 8 mega usb doesnt say 8 mega pixels. in details it tells you the real mega pixels which is 1,200,000 Megapixels or 1.2. the zoom is 10 times digital zoom which just means it enlarges it using a software so each time you enlarge your losing quality and its going to be and pixelated as shit.

Most people are concerned with megapixels when purchaseing a camera to behonest this has nothing to do with the quality of the camera, large mega pixels is good if you want to print large photos or poster. I would rather a lower mega pixel camera with a good quality lens with good glass in it.

IMO i wouldnt buy it, i think it would be a piece of junk.

I know you quoted it, but 1,200,000 megapixels would set a world record. I think it meant 1,200,000 pixels, which is 1.2 megapixels. Good catch though

essentially it is a cheap cell phone camera in a cheap casing. I dont remember the brand but G4 reviewd it. it was a touch screen camera that was water proof and like 10mp for 80 bucks. Digital cameras are going down in price I cant wait till they come out with mini cams that support 3d video.

would it show trichs in detail? this is all i want it for.

also i have a nice sony dig cam but i dont know if its broke or the battery is dead. is there a way to charge the battery just a tad to get it to power on? without a charger obv... if i freeze it a bit would that work?

it doesnt have any specs on focal distances but with an 85mm lens you would have to hold it pretty close to the bud and im guessing it would just look like a green blur. to get it close to a bud it should have some sort of macro capability which is usually written on the lens but there is nothing there and nothing in the specs about it so i highly doubt u could do it.
