8 Strain Wonder Bean Contest- Who Is Dankest Of Them All!!!

What up my people, so I'm always lurking around these forums but am not interactive enough bout my own growing!! Im here to SOAK UP SOME MUHFCKN knowledge so lay it on me, I'm sure I'm doing all kinds of things wrong, but also hopefully plenty of things right! I'd love to hear anybodies thoughts or questions, thats why I'm putting it up here! Now! Onto the description! So this is gonna be split into 3 sections based on when i planted each strain... yeah they are spaced out a few weeks from each other, not by design, but it is what it is! Im gonna upload some photos here to give an overall idea of the grow room :)

Section 1: Girl Scout Euphoria
Genetics- x3 Euphoria *feminized* + x3 Girl Scout Cookie *feminized*
Germination- 8/19/2017 (was almost a month before i solved their 'illness')

These had quite a time for the first part of their lives. I germinated these 6 seeds along with 12 others in various methods to get an idea of success rates. Most all of them came through (paper towel proved better than jiffy pellet), but i started running into problems once i transplanted them into the same soil that had (unknowingly at the time) ruined my last crop! Luckily i tested that soil against another soil i got, which i plants the final (and now only) 6 seeds into, 3 Euph and 3 GSC. The seedlings proceeded to get sick, i believe as a result of that soil from the surrounding plants, and i knew i needed solutions now! I ended up throwing everything in the nasty soil out, cleaning all that shit out the grow room, and then sterilizing the seedlings in the other healthy soil in a 30% H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) and water dip. Since then i trimmed off the discolored and dead leaves and they've come back with strong vigor, 5/6 have been topped and 2/6 had there LST began.

Section 2: Lemon Diesel WTF?!
Genetics- x2 Super Lemon Diesel *feminized* + x3 Sour Diesel Auto *feminized* + x4 ???
Germination- 9/13/2017 (give or take a few days)

Not much to say on these bad boys, germinated them via paper towel method and transplanted into these small mesh pots (I'm on the fence about the mesh aspect, would a whole walled pot work better for me?). Like all the plants, i water about once a week with a light organic Earth Juice nutes, and then just Ph'd water (between 5.8-6.4) when its pretty dried out, but usually not bone dry. Only thing to note is the one seedling took on a kind of wind blown and tired, dried look. I thought i'd lose it like id lost many that'd had moved in that direction but it seems to be bouncing back. Can anyone get into some explanation of why that might happen? It didn't seem to have any different variables that would result in those problems (aka fan being directly on it), so what do you think?

Section 3: Cinderella, Stoned off 99 Haze
Genetics- x6 Cinderella 99 + x6 Rosetta Stone + x5 Cinderella haze *all strains non sexed*
Germination - 9/18/2017

Pretty standard life for these guys too! Paper towel germination into these mesh pots, same watering and nutes. Only things to mention here is that i planted the seeds a little shallow, the soil gets pushed to the sides occasionally when i water and its resulted in some poorly supported seedlings! I got some wire supports in for them which they've responded to well. One other got its seed shell stuck clamping together it's cotyledon leading to some retardation that it should power right through now that i've freed it!

I'm pretty sure the pots you have are for hydro. Secondly the sickened one to me looks over watered. And you def need some more perlite in your soil for drainage. Just my two cents... :leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf:

Stay green n stay high

Could have been overwatering, hasn't been a problem since the h2o2 and transplant though! And i think you're right about the pots, i got them in a bundle with other stuff. You know if thats gonna negatively impact things? Or why it might if so? Any good tips how to prepare bagged soil for your plants? I use Dr. Earth from Home Depot and just use as is, no amendments. Thanks boss!

Some odd discoloration on ? #4, looks a bit like the nasty stuff from earlier on in Section #1's lives. Hope it doesn't spread or some weird shit! Same plant that looked tired and wind blown, got some life back but looks like this:

Some updates on the girls (and probably some boys from the cindy/cinderella/rosetta beans):

I transplanted all the youngin's from the hydro pots to the closest size i could find at home depot, they had really stunted root development and transplanting was a little messy, but they all made it just fine, and are starting to show growth even in the first 24 hours! I would love to hear some thoughts on why the hydro pots do such a bad job for soil, i assume it just dries it out too quickly that the rhizosphere goes dormant the majority of the time, but I'm not sure. They clearly do a lot better in full walled pots. Also, the homedepot pots are weird with a bottom part that is detachable, with three nubs that fit into the drainage holes. Im confused on whether or not to remove that bottom piece or not... part of me feels i should but then why in the hell would they put it there?

The older guys have all been topped and LST'd, right now i have three ties on each do what you can probably see just fine in the below photo!

Also!!! Stupid fungus gnats are back! please! someone give me a miraculous organic friendly prevention tip so i can keep them away for good once i kill the bastards!

Good looooking and until next time--

I could use some help from whoever wants to give a go at diagnosing this! fungus gnats are a problem but seem pretty well contained as far as i can tell. They had some discoloration in their past, it's all documented above. I appreciate any help, thank you very much. IMG_0687.JPG IMG_0689.JPG IMG_0693.JPG
