7 Days into Flower - Still no pre-flowers?

Today marks day 7 of 12/12 flowering for my twelve unsexed Hawaiian/Maui Wowie x Master Kush and there's still no sign of pre-flowers. The plants are plenty big and 9 weeks old and they look very sativa-dominant. I used 1000W HPS for both veg and flower so that probably isn't helping matters. They are in DWC tubs with a bloom nute mix around 800 ppm and seem very happy with that. The closet has had uninterrupted darkness every night and it's very dark in there at night. A small space around the bottom crack of the door (passive intake, needs to stay open) which lets in an extremely small amount of light into the room. After being in the room for a few mintues and letting my eyes adjust I still can't even see my hand when it's under my space. So I'm sure that's not an issue. I just thought that my plants would have shown their sex by now. Being my first grow I'm not exactly sure what to expect as far as timelines go, thanks for any input.

Mine didn't show sex for like two weeks... It sucks but ya gotta be patient. I posted about it too, and got this answer: Relax, go smoke one! :joint:

How to Grow Great Marijuana says that as plants, they are genetically programmed to be able to flower outside in a full moon. Considering I can't see my hand in front of my face in there, I just find it improbable that the crack at the base of my door is messing up the flowering cycle. That's just the Botanist in me talking though, who knows.

I've got the same crack in the bottom of my door and my plants flowered fine, but did take 2 to 2 1/2 weeks to show sex. Good things come to those who wait.

Thanks all for the pointers!

10 days into flowering and half of the plants have shown their sexes.

4 boys and 2 girls, no hermies

The boys are gone and the girls have a little more room now.

More details in the grow journal and experimental flowering threads.
