7 day old clones not rooting,pics

ok so i cut these 9 clones 7 days ago and there was no sign of roots so today i pulled them from the rock wool cubes and there was nothing at all just like little stubs were the roots sould be :confused: they were takin from 7 weeks old vegged plants i used a hormone gel called (ROOT IT) AND NOTHING ELSE so today i recut the stems scraped off some tissue witch i dident do before IS RECUTTING THE STEMS OK AND THERE IN A HUMIDITY DOME WITH 3 T5 BULBS ANY ADVICE APRECIATED IM A NOOB

lol. Roots in seven days would be tough even under the best circumstances. I think it was a bad idea to cut off the lower stem. Now the clones will have to start forming roots from day one. I have had bad luck with rockwool but once I built an aerocloner I was getting roots in a week. Good luck.

Sweet thanks for the quick reply men so wat would be the bare minimum before roots show have yous ever used (root it) hormone gel and is recutting ok

not sure about recutting, my first attempt ended just like yours, after 3 or 4 weeks they were just rootless stubs in the rockwool. only 1 of about 30 worked but i wasn't misting them every day. Now i put them in a small heated propagator in soil with clonex gel. I don't bother cutting up the middle or doing too much with the cut end, just a couple of small notches, into the gel, into the soil, into the dome. 24hrs light and open it up and mist about 2-4 times a day. mine are now exactly 2 weeks and seem fine. I've not checked the roots yet, i'll wait another week to see if there's any upward growth

you should read up on planting by the moon cos at certain phases the gravity is meant to help root growth here as other phases hepl leaf n stem. might be worth a look
