6700K UVB reptile light - Yes or no?

I just read on High Times that a UVB light used for reptiles would be beneficial to growing better plants. I found at the local pet store a Exo Terra Natural Light Full Spectrum Daylight Bulb - 25W 6700K and, before buying it, I was wondering if anyone tried it and if it's worth adding it to my 400W setup.

not sure about that K value: i use 10.0 uvb cfl bulbs (2) with a 600hps. i start using just after the stretch when switching to 12/12. comes on 1hr after lights on and 1hr before lights off. so 10 hrs. uvb=trichomes

There was a guy on here - kiteflyhigh I think (now deceased) - that did a LOT of research and testing on UV stuff. He actually had the finished product lab tested. Finding was that certain UV lights did increase product quality...marginally. However, the average smoker would probably never know the difference if the genetics are there. Be sure to wear real eye protection unless you look forward to cataract surgery later in life.

Yes, they need to handled and used safely. UVB will burn skin and prolonged exposure is NOT recommended .
