MEMPHIS, TN Memphis police say they discovered pot growing in a womans driveway during a traffic stop.
According to a police affidavit, officers pulled over a car in front of a house in the 1300 block of Bryan, Wednesday, June 9, 2010, when the driver ran into the home.
Police say while chasing the man, they noticed a potted plant in the driveway that contained four marijuana plants. The officers, according to the police document, knocked on the door and asked 65-year-old Helen Franklin if she had seen the suspect. They then asked if she knew what kind of plants were growing in her driveway. Police say the 65 year old responded, Yes, reefer. I planted it.
Helen Franklin has been charged with Manufacture/Deliver/Sell a Controlled Substance.
