I love your bud porn 6! its so delish. your garden looks so fuckin aweome dude! Your buds are looking so amazing..I really like how your light has all the different colors in it, its so cool. .Are you by chance taking notice of your electric bills running HPS vs LED and the cost savings? im really curious how much you can save running LEDS. and how much cooler is your room or tent with your leds vs HPS. That glass tube your holding looks kinda like a bong filled with herb. what are those buttons for? llolol.

Hey Ambz!! Thanks for the kind words. Will be busting out the digi this weekend to see if I can get some good glamour shots in this round. First off, as far as energy consumption, I've never ran a 250W HPS before so I have no experience there. I've ran 200+ watts of cfl's on a plant before and that was a pain to keep cool. I yielded a nice little 2oz plant of some fine fine Pre-98 Bubba bagseed. Running the same with LEDs (200+ watts), I'll surely get more than 2oz, and the heat is actually less to deal with than cfl's. So I'd imagine heat is significantly less than a 250w HPS and ballast. As for cooling, LED lit environments can be kept in the mid 80's, rather than mid 70's like HID lit environments. So no extra cooling has been needed from me. I try to keep my house in the mid 70's ambient temp as is, and the LED grow cab doesn't get hotter than 87 degrees. So with a single 160 cfm booster fan for exhaust I can keep temps in check. I'm sure I'm saving in electricity and acknowledge that, but I rarely take note or brag about it at all lol.

Edit- Forgot to add, yes that tube was made by my glass blower friend from a tube used to make bongs. I told him to make me a BHO tube, he felt it was too plain, so he added the marble and buttons to it. Just for design really, but it works for grip too you can say lol.

Man looking good 619. How much longer until you're done flowering? It really has been nice following you grow. I love to check out other peoples grows..... especially when they have the same LEDs. Keep up the good grow.

Thanks man! I am at day 46 now, and should be another two weeks for the Alien Rock Candy, and maybe 3 more for the Arctic Fallout. I love following similar grows myself, as well as LED grows. I was actually surprised to see more folks using these growevolution panels. They aren't spoken of too often, if at all, from what I've seen. But sitting here watching how they grow plants, and most importantly for us mj growers, how they FLOWER, I am quite impressed!! And I am not often very impressed by LEDs considering I've had exceptional LEDs since 2010 and have seen as well as experienced the capabilities of LEDs first hand. But those were high wattage LEDs. Never did I imagine I could pull off a grow this size, with buds looking like they've been grown under a 1000w, using only ~250w of LEDs!! I've seen it done by the DIY'ers, and see it advertised by some LED brands, but seeing it and experiencing it first hand is quite impressive to say the least.

Ok these pics were taken this past weekend at week 6. I am now at day 46 of flower and things look great! I had to stake all the girls up as they were collapsing under their own bud weight. I also realized that I've been over watering the Arctic Fallout. She was in a back corner and never lifted her pot to see until I pulled her out to be staked. I let her dry for 5 days and now she is drinking normally again. You can tell she has been a little stunted though. ARC just has a faster metabolism rate than the AF, so lesson learned! Should still be a very nice haul here. Still need to get some nice digi cam shots of things, but for now, here's week 6 pics:

They've packed on the weight nicely, lookin' real good. :weed:
Thanks man! And I agree, they certainly put it on. I had doubts at some points but these LEDs came through for me in a great way.
Awsome Job Brother 6er.Your ARC Is Looking Mighty Sexy :hump:
Thanks Dawg!! ARC is a little super model for sure. But the Arctic Fallout is gaining her momentum now and becoming quite the looker as well now.

I totally know what you mean!! I really had a tough time keeping my electric bill down last Summer. No clue how much it would take to cool 1000w worth of LEDs, but I can't imagine it would take too much. Definitely not as much as it takes to cool a 1000w HPS. I think a simple inline fan could pull it off. If not, maybe the addition of a swamp cooler at most. I know using only 2 panels I haven't used any extra A/C that I don't already use to keep my room at decent temps. And the fan pulling air from the grow cab is only 160 cfm. I was using a 500 cfm fan for my HPS and still couldn't get below 90F degrees. I did do the ARC in DWC last grow. I have some pics if you'd like to see?

As far as this grow, plants got their last feeding today and are now on flush mode til harvest in 10 days (most likely 14 days for the Arctic Fallout). I haven't been able to update lately due to my birthday week celebrations lol. As soon as my brain comes back from vacation, I'll be sure to add some final week pictures, as well as share my harvest results with you all. Peace out RIU!!

This post is just dedicated to the bud porn! I did have a recent encounter with mites, but that's no excuse for anything. These lights kick ass!!! I'll get more pics of week 8 and so on. These are from around day 50:

HAHA thanks for the good vibes!
Man your girls look awesome! Im super impressed with this panel. Looks like some nice dense nugs too.
Thanks Sir Joe! The nugs are indeed dense. Very nice considering the wattage used.
619 youre on to something here. There really isnt any info about these panels around. Results are intriguing
Yea the growevolution.com site is pretty sparse in info. But from what I gather from the producer is that these are slightly similar in technology to the Kessil LEDs. I have always thought Kessil could be decent LEDs, but who the hell wants to pay $200+ for a 30w light? (just guessing it's been so long since I actually looked in to Kessil) I know they have recently dropped in price significantly, but still, I'd rather have these which put out 4x the light wattage for only a fraction of the cost Kessil charges.
Thicka then a snicka.. I'm thinking staking might be one of the next few things I try.. Looking great!
Yea definitely need the staking on these strains they are so lanky. Buds get fat, stems stay flimsy. I know a scrog would've made my life even easier though. Staking is great though as you can still care for the plants individually and rotate them and shit like that lol.
Hows this coming along brotha? Curious
Sorry for lagging on updates, but here comes the porn! Been a real busy August I will say that. And all of a sudden it's getting hot as hell around here!! Anywho update will come shortly. I have pics in my album a jumbled around, but I'll post results as well as my unbiased opinion on these panels. Thanks for checking it out. Peace!
