600w HPS vs. 400w CMH

Hey guys, I ordered a 600w hps and it's in the mail, I got it for $90 total. Dimmable and digital.

I just found this 400w CMH from HTG SUPPLY. Which one of these two lights would you recommend for my 5'x2' flower area, and which would be best on heat and noise? Im new and it is my first grow. Personally i will do the 400mh for veg and the stretch then switch to the 600hps and then use the mh again for the last 2 weeks but thats just me. GL

Does the ballast make a lot of noise?

No its pretry silent imo, cant hear it over my loud ass exhaust fan lol. But when turn off the fan i cant hear the ballast and it stays pretty cool.
