600W HPS Ballast, Hood, and Bulb for sale.

Hey guys I finally took pics of a 600W HPS kit my buddy wants to trade me. This thing is about 6 months old, my buddy used it on one 12/12 grow so figure 12 hours on for something like 60-70 days. I know for a fact this is fairly new because the guy is my good buddy and he tried out growing and turned out he didnt like it ( he was too lazy ). Anyways he said he paid $350.00 + tax brand new at Hydro Depot. I am asking $250.00 ( willing to negotiate) I'd like to get enough for a new raptor hood so I will trade for that or do some cash.

is that a digital ballast? Your right the pics are small! but to me it looks like a magnetic ballast, kinda bulky IMO for a 600w digi which leads me to think its magnetic, with that being said, I just picked up a BRAND new DIGI ballast, 600 w/ aircooled hood, for less then 270. I would offer your friend 175 MAX, thats being nice. The thing is people like to say, its close to brand new, thats not a term, its used or new , nothing in between, I know its your friend but I wouldn't pay 250 for that. Maybe if it was a used 1000w digital ballast, then there might be some value there.

I agree with BBYY it looks like a magnetic CAP value line switchable ballast. If he is a friend and you know the history the package might be worth $200. but I would personally pass I don't care for those ballasts, but it would get the job done.

I dont know I will look into it... It is switchable the sticker just says " Switchable 600W Ballast" I don't know much about ballast but this is definitely heavier than my 1000W digital ballast so you guys might be right. I wasnt there when he bought the kit but he mentioned the hood was a upgrade which it is its a Sun System Yield Master 2 - 6'' Classic so its probably the most valuable thing.


Jesus Christ who are you ?? The ambassador of used equipment?, sorry my verbage isnt up to your standards. I dont own a pawn shop I'm simply trying to sale a used 600W ballast, hood and bulb.

You are probably right, like I said my buddy wants to trade me the light for a vaporizer so I'm hoping I get some money out of this for something like a new hood , bulb or R/O system. Like I said it was only used for one 12/12 grow because he just moved to a small ass apartment in downtown Phx and learned growing indoors isnt as easy as he thought.

what kind of ballast??

thats just a lil high im about to get the same set up with a lumatek with a tent included all used for about 250 too.

It is too high the ballast is a CAP I looked into and I'm pretty sure it's magnetic. The hood is a good one its a Sun System Yield Master 2 6'' worth about 120 brand new I think. The bulb is probably a generic brand and the ballast is pretty lame. So yeah I agree its kind of high.. I am willing to listen to offers. My buddy told me the kit was 350 because of the upgraded hood. But throw me an offer. I'd trade it for a tent, raptor hood something worth the value. Let me know if not it will collect dust it used but in really good condition was used just one 12/12 cycle.

I don't know about the ballast but the hood is a Yield Master II 6" Classic like I have. It's an okay hood but the reflective coating on the back isn't as good as some others. It says in the Sun catalog that the reflective properties are only 86% vs. 95% (EU Coating) on some of the other models like the 6" Surpreme model.

Oh yeah, be careful if you do buy it as the glass can fall out easily so I put chrome tape around the perimeter of the glass on the outside.

Cool like I said anyone can make me a reasonable offer..Just dont send me some bull shit offer lol on a side note I will throw in some left over GH nutes I have. I need to get rid of them they are just sitting on my shelf.

The bottles of the GH arent full but I'm pretty sure I see the bloom, grow , Koolbloom powder, floralicious plus , Diamond nectar and flora blend. I know for a fact the Koolbloom powder is pretty much full.
