Went to Home Depot, picked up a lot of stuff I desperately needed. Also got a small tote to make an aero cloner. Here is a list and picture.

I went down to my local Co-op to buy some Juicy roots too. The owner was out, but he actually ran home and got me his bottle. I plan on cloning luicille, her genetics are amazing. Here is my process for getting the Rock Wool ready.

I will upload pictures of the clones and the work to the garden later. Im gonna eat dinner and blaze up for now!

Its all good, plenty of ways to treat it. Its not spreading. I think I fixed the issue by getting more light on those 2 plants. It seems to be going away and the area is much less moist. Im not worried about it, its been a week and its not growing or spreading.

I started working on the garden tonight at like 3 am as soon as the light cycle started (3am-9pm). I put in those dowels. Made an H pattern. Mostly to prop up lucille. Shes HUGE at least 24-30 inches tall. Once she starts growing nugs, Im going to need to support her in a major way. I figured by putting this up, I get more light to my other plants and hopefully Lucille will grow bigger nugs. Here is a pic.

Here is a closer shot of the ties, I didnt twist them tight, just enough to keep her trained.

Here is a picture of a stalk support I put in for the Headband. Its not doing as well as the Skywalkers (Monster and Lucille) but its the 3rd best in the garden. She is growing slightly crooked, due to Lucille pushing her. So I decided to help her out as well.

"Monster in the corner" is doing quite well. She was the one tipping over and breaking her rock wool. I bought her a dowel and tied her to it. Then I rotated her bucket, so that the leaves in back can get a turn with the light. I give her a full rotation once a week. Its one of the bonus's of growing in these buckets.

I also bought a little screw for my hood. When I got it, it was missing a screw that keeps the glass plate tight over the seal, allowing hot air to leak out of the light. I'm really happy I replaced that screw and now the seal is good again.

Im going by the hydro store tomorrow, going to pick up a dome for the clone tray and some 4'' rock wool for the Lucille clones. I don't feel right just putting that quality of a clone in 1'' cubes.

Here is a picture of the Aero-Cloner I built with a pump and PVC I had here and a 14 gallon tote I got for $8

Well, thats it for today. More tomorrow. 4:06am, got to go to bed!

So, lots going on today.

I decided to give my work area (my bathroom sink area) a good clean. Once I did that, I decided to try to clean up the door to the growroom and make it a little more air-tight. Here is a picture.

Here is a shot of the temp and humidity before I did the taping.

Here is a shot of the temp and humidity after the taping of the door. As you can see... doing this had a small impact on the temp. Not too bad.

And below, is a shot of the bottom of the door. I put the tape on all sides to create an air-tight seal. As you know, I have cats. Its their mission in life to infiltrate my grow room and nibble on my ladies leaves. Also, this should keep cat hair out of the grow room. I keep finding it everywhere.

I also added a door covering to the outside of the bathroom area. So that people who walk by my apartment (Im on the 1st floor) wont see light coming from the closet at night.

Alright, now to the goodies. I bought some 4'' Rockwool cubes and a dome for my cloner today at my hydro store. I took 5 clones of Lucille today. I hope I didnt hurt her too bad. I also hope the clones sprout roots, as it is my first time every trying to clone a MJ plant.

Here is a shot of them on the floor of the grow room, Under the canopy's shade. I know that you shouldnt put clones under HID's but they are about 3 1/2 feet below the light, under the shade of the other plants. As you can see, I have added 4 or 5 soaked rockwool cubes in there to keep the humidity up. I sprayed them with water too before I put the hood on.

Wow, added some nutes right now. "Monster in the corner" drank about 3 1/2 gallons out of 5 in her bucket. I gave her a good 2 gallons of nutes and topped off the rest of the plants. I didnt swap out (2) 5 gallon buckets and a 30gal res. I just mixed the nutes for the res in about 3 gallons of water and added them to the res, I hope I havnt fucked up my plants. Normally, before going DWC... my sprayers would leak about 5 gallons a week. So I would mix up 5 gallons of nutes and add it to the res. Maybe I have been starving my plants. Who knows, but its been working so far. Lets see tomorrow if my plants are burnt and wilted.

Found my digital camera cord in a box in my garage. It must have been there since I moved in November. Now I can take some halfway decent pictures for you. Its not a $1500 camera, just a $300 digital Canon.

I love my cheap dslr from canon. Cats hair in buds is a sign of highest quality. My cats have no intrest in my plants but every other surface is a cat place so the hairs just circulate all round the place. I dropped a tray of drying buds on my floor and half of it went under the bed lol fury buds lol

haha Yea, When I buy a sac and I find a cat hair in it, I somehow feel.. better. Its weird. I think everyone who has their own garden has a cat or two running around. Ill start todays journal off with a picture of each of my cats.

Ok, so those are my cats. Onto the garden.

As you can see, everything is growing out of control. I cant wait to start flower on these ladies. So far, NO PROBLEMS!

Now for a little root porn.(if thats what you would call it)

As you can see below, The diesel... looks sick. Im giving them a week to fully turn their shit around. If not. I will replace them.

The picture above is my white widdow. Shes looking pretty good.

Update 4-19-10:

All in all its a good day. The ladies are growing tall, closer and closer to the light. As you can see by the pic below, almost to the light, but they arnt being harmed, so I guess its ok.

The clones: They look pitiful. I dunno what I did wrong. Ill try again in 2 days if they dont recover.

Lame...

Anyway lets see here. You can see how bushy the plants are getting. growing over the ventilation line. Im going to mount the filter over the light when I get my C02 system but for now, its in the middle of the plants off to the left a little .

Below is a picture of the white widows roots, they are looking good, and a tad brown due to the color of their nutrient solution, I add a little floralishous plus, its organic and turns the res a brownish color. Its not BAD, just like a brown dye to the color of the water.

You can clearly see below the color of the widow, she is getting a little light in the leaves. I gave her fresh nutes yesterday, so Im going to add a little cal/mag into her res.

So I went into the room and looked at the res levels. The white widow definately drank about an inch of her 5 gal bucket. I added cal/mag to all the res's. I mixed the amount for the whole res (5 gal= 25ml for my 30 gal res, I mixed in 90ml, I wanted to undershoot it) I mixed these levels into 2 liters of fresh water and dumped them into the res's. Hopefully the color on the widow will bounce back by wed. We will see.

When I opened up the 30 gal res, I noticed a lot of water had been used up by the ladies. I replaced it with about 2 gallons of fresh nutes including

Sensi 2 part A and B
GH Micro nutrients
GH Floralishious plus
Hygrozyme
5ml of voodoojuice
root jumpstart (I use for the humic acid)

Notice the dark color the floralishus plus gives the water.

Well there's a look at the garden.

I'm still trying to figure out what Im getting with my tax check. IRS said its being mailed next week sometime. I have a week to decide. I was thinking about getting a CO2 controller and bottle with regulator. BUT, I know that another light for a perpetual grow is the smarter call. Although, I think the CO2 would vastly improve whatever flower I plan on getting from this grow. Damn, I wish I was getting $1700 rather than $700 haha then I could get both! I need a job :( haha

BTW, I hope you guys like the new pictures Ive put up in the last 2 days. My camera takes way better pictures than my Iphone. I love the fresh green color it brings to the plants, they are as green as they are in my room. Its amazing.
Alright, thats all for now. Will update with more pics later. BYE!

Wow, I finally found my grow journal. I dont know what to think about this new RIU.org layout. Its nice I guess. Im so new to this site, I dont think it really matters.

Ok, So I went into the room today. And what a surprise (sarcasm) the ladies have grown a bunch. Heres a pic. You can see, only about 3-4 inches from the light.

The clones, are not doing as well.

Camera001.jpg

I think only one will survive. Oh well, Ill try again in soon enough.

Below is a picture of the white widow. The color is returning after the cal mag was added. Lets check again in a few days.

Camera002.jpg

Thank you much! yes, its true, I do not bleach my roots. I use Voodoo Juice and Hygrozyme to naturally keep the roots pretty, I try to atleast.

Speaking of those roots.

Camera001-1.jpg 30ml of voodoo to the lady with the best roots.

Check out the standard "Moneyshot"

Camera002.jpg 1'' away

The plant tops are officially to the glass, by tomorrow, they should be fully pressed up against the glass. No bleaching yet, im suprised.

Camera005.jpg I know the leaf is broken, I sneezed while in the room and sprayed my tops with spit, while wiping it off, I tore the leaf. Im sorry. I will never sneeze again.

Camera004.jpg Almost touching the light!

Camera007.jpg the standard cat shot.

The clones, still not looking that good. I will update with a picture later.

So, I woke up this morning, walk into my room, and this is what I see

Camera001.jpg

Lucille has completely grown past the light. Shes growing at about 2-3 inches per day. Its insane. I need to flower these girls quickly! I'm going to start with flowering as soon as I get my tax refund check and I can afford the bulb and nutes. Should be next week sometime.

Camera002.jpg

Camera003.jpg

Wow, garden looks great. It has exploded in the last week. Now, I need to catch up to my garden!
