600hps + 400

hi all im looking for some advice from people who may have tried this! ive got a 600 hps light for flowering and a 400 hps just collecting dust, now my question is if i was to add the 400 for the last 2-3 weeks of flower would it be worth it? im already using a load of electric so don't want to add the 400 for the full 8 weeks flower time, or would adding it for say the first 2-3 weeks be better? I think the last 3 weeks will be better. thanks for any help.

Actually, a better use of your 400w would be to use it for vegging in another tent. That way you can have a perpetual grow going. 600w for flowering and 400w for vegging.

i agree with midnitejoker, although ive added 600w cfl to 600w hps in the last 3 weeks of flowering, the girls are loving it!!!

ive already got a veg room going so dont need it for that! so do you think adding it with 2-3 weeks left of flower be worth the extra power for more buds?

it couldn't hurt to feed the girl more light but you get a better finish if you ran them both the whole time faster growth rate and even bigger buds. i understand wanting to save money i can dig it. do it tottally

ok a new question! i carnt stop thinking about adding the 400 to my flower room for the full 8 weeks, so will it really produce more yield? any guesses on how much extra? temps and humidity are perfect, so im pulling around the 12 oz now with the 600 and 6 plants, if everything stays the same and i add the 400 any guesses on the yield. thanks

why dont you just set up another smaller flower room. i had the same problem as you, i upgraded to a 600 and already have a veg setup, so i set up the 400 in a smaller tent and flower in it during the day and the 600 at night.

good idea but my wife would have a heart attack if i added any more plants lol shes already a nervous wreck! + ive not relly got the room
