http://www.hidhut.com/catalog/600w-hps-digital-ballast-bulb-and-deluxe-reflector-combo-1202-p-71.html

this is the kit i think im gonna go with

just need to know if two of these
http://www.amazon.com/6-Inch-110VAC-250-Line-Duct/dp/B0007N5LI6will be enough to properly vent my space?

one running constantly the other with the electronic temp control switch listed below in the actual grow space.

whadya think? will it work? i predict 200cfm constant airflow over the bulb and an extra 100 in total when i need i to exhaust the grow area asuming that 200 cf, is optimal and that the total cfm availible would decrease if two are run int he same line..

so it would look like this mounted.

constant on this side -< upper intake would be open to ac cooled room at all times and lower would be suck air out of the grow room with a carbon filer on the end of the 6 inch duct booster

i have just enough budgeted for this setup

hoping you guys think im on the right path. hope if didnt confuse any of y'all im a few bowls in along with some jello shots and a the left overs of a bottle of red!

IMHO get a 400w and a proper ventilation setup with an inline and a carbonfilter.

What's up man, I ran a very similar setup to yours. I had a 600w in a 2x4x5 tent, aircooling the hood with the vortex 6", and just having random fans spread throughout. You'd be legit with the intake and exhaust fans, only thing make it so the intake is on the bottom, and the exhaust is on the top cause heat rises and it will be a lot easier to have the hot air rise straight to the exhaust, get what I'm sayin? Also, make sure you keep the plants low/trained, cause I ruined a crop having them grow right into the reflector, and by the time I realized there was a problem it was too late. So yeah, good plan, and good luck.

i"ll either do a diy carbon filter or a flea bay unit and if they dont work i"ll just get a regular one...

oh i forgot to mention there are two intake one constant at the upper branch of the y and a lower one that will feed the plants cool fresh air when the temp controlled auxillery duct booster kicks in. and i have at least 6 feet of grow space... below the glass in the air cooled reflector. if i need more i could remove the closet divider and bring it up more since i will have a seperate veg room

so i got that whole heat rises deal down! lol i figure pulling cool air out side the cab with a 6 inch duct then another 6 inch pulling from the cabinet should be more than enough for a 400w but i want to know if a 6er will push it to its limits.. maybe theres only one way to find out!

Booster fans are okay.. more on the minimum side. What about a scrubber? A booster fan sucks ass for static pressure and it would be difficult to push air through it. I run s&p 150 inline fan and its really quiet and it pushes or pulls any amount of air I ever needed. I would link you s&p site but im on my phone
