Hello RIU!

First indoor grow.

STATS: 600 Watt HPS, 40x40x79 tent, carbon, cool-air intake with 6'' fan, Organic, super-soil mix (Roots Organics base), 7 gallon smart-pots. Temps range from 79-85 degrees. Humidity from 45-57%phone111014 050.jpg

Ran 4 beans, got 1 female. Was hoping for 2 but, more on that later.

phone111014 068.jpg9/30/14. The growth is already really fast. There's growth at the nodes beginning already.
phone111014 070.jpg phone111014 071.jpg 10/4/14. This would be my only lady at 10 days.
phone111014 103.jpg 10/13/14. About 3 weeks. The lady is the bottom left. Even though they're in a 18/6 light cycle, they began pre-flower sometime around here. I topped once to keep them a bit shorter. Pistils and balls started forming and alternating nodes began showing up soon after.
phone111014 125.jpgphone111014 130.jpg 10/22/14. A little shy of 4 weeks. The bottom is the definite female and 1 male is removed. 13 bladed fan leaves... (look where the stem meets the leaf for the last little two =)).

11/1/14 -- And then there was one. She's just starting flower. Untrained and only topped once, she developed an awesome canopy.

11/8/14 -- 6 weeks. 2nd of flower. She is a beast. The pistils are fat, white and standing straight up. The nodes are stacked and bursting, she is an even green throughout. It's almost good I only got one female and went with the 7 gallon pots because any more may have been tight.

Looks good. Def should have done more work to maximise your space. A 10 gallon scrog would give you at least 1.5x as much yield as you will get from this.
Still looks good though, you never even said what strain lol

Yeah just wanted to do a run and see what's up. I'll be tweaking in the future. It's a Northern lights cross.

Did you germ straight into the supersoil? If this is a grow journal I would move it to the grow journal forum, but if not, you are missing a lot of details, like this is sub's recipe? Did you layer it correctly?

Wow. Didn't realize I had to include all that. I guess it could be a journal. Yes, straight into super soil. And the recipe is pretty much subcools. And I let it sit and mixed it periodically for 8 weeks before planting. No, I didn't layer it, but frankly, I don't totally agree that layering matters. Organic soil naturally evens itself out through microbial activity and watering so, even if its layered, after a few waterings and a few weeks, the layering is gone. Not to mention no matter where you layer it, the roots are going to find it within the first two weeks. Maybe I'm wrong....I can try it sometime.

Nice, did you innoculate it with teas? I'm curious as to your mix, why its not so hot to allow straight germination inti it, even considering an 8 week sit, because that is bad ass, straight into a soil that has never been used b4

Nope...germ then straight into soil. I didn't use the exact brands from the subcool recipe.

The Roots is less hot than Fox Farms for seedlings...could be it (LOVE that soil on a lot of levels, btw). I also didn't dump 5 lbs of each ingredient in cuz I didn't mix up as much...I mixed up 3, 10 cu. ft. bags. I added about 15 lbs worm castings(coulda been more, coulda been less), and a hefty cup of everything else...blood/bone/guano/lime/epsom etc...I did a few scoops of greatwhite, added water and mixed. Whatever I had total, filled four 7 gallon pots. I do a lot of growing (not mary j, lol) so I have a lot of this stuff on hand and actually use pretty much the same mix in my gardens, haha. Then, depending on what the plants are tellin me, I supplement. I didn't do anything exactly, sorry =/. Just the general idea and mixed it up.

She was a little high in nitrogen for about 2 weeks but, that leveled out...and there is the slightest bit of burn on a few tips but...hardly noticeable. I really haven't had to do anything and it's been awesome. I give her some great white every 3 weeks (as recommended) and a tbsp of epsom in waterings(as needed) since she started to bloom. Part of that is because I ran some of these seeds and they were very mag deficient once they started blooming.

That's pretty much it =)

UPDATE: Pretty sure High Nitrogen lead to lockout/deficiencies but, been supplementing through flower and besides some minor fan leaf damage, she's doing well. Week 8 and she's got about 2 weeks left. Very few clear and amber trich's. Pretty much solid milky all over. 22 branches. 122214 002.JPG
