600 watt LED, need advise

I am intersted in purchasing this grow light, and using it to illuminate an 77"x77"x77" grow tent.

Anybody heard of this big ass LED, or seen anyone grow with it?

Any advise is appreciated.

Well, does anyone have ANY information on growing with LED's?

Its a BIG gamble. There is a TON of bad LED press here.

my opinion, though haven't used them, is that they may work good for veg, but will probably fall rather short for flowering. (veggin is easy; wings are earned on flowering)

For the $$ you'd be better off with a good 600W or 1000W HPS and a killer vent system. And still have enough dough leftover for almost enough beer until harvest.

man you could buy 4 600 watt hps for that kind of jack

1000w MH/HPS w/ cooltube - $320
Carbon filter w/ 6" 424 CFM inline fan - $200

could get 2 of those shipped for the cost of the LED setup....

experimenting and playing around with different things is cool, but $1300?!

Enough said. I WOULD like to see some experimentation though, and I may or may not have the funds for that...

You would be absolutely out of your mind to buy that. Theres not even colse to $100 worth of components in that things. It would make more sense to make it yourself.

Hell yeah! I agree...

Shop on Digi-Key Corporation - USA Home Page and get the right LEDs for the task and create it yourself.

WOW! $1200 for some LEDs what a racket.

I have looked far and wide and have seen no proof that LEDs work very well.

If something works it is easy to find comparison grows and what not. But I can't find any positive testing for LEDs.
