Sheriff's deputies bust 600-plant marijuana grow at Lancaster industrial building
LANCASTER - A 43-year-old man was behind bars today on suspicion of cultivating marijuana for sale inside a Lancaster industrial building, according to authorities.
The raid on the building in the 42200 block of 6th Street West by the Lancaster Station's Burglary Suppression Team took place about 4 p.m. Monday, said Sgt. Mark Machanic of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
The burglary team was patrolling the area when one of its members smelled the odor of marijuana coming from a building in the industrial park, he said.
Detectives executing a search warrant found a sophisticated marijuana hydroponic growing operation that included about 600 plants, with an estimated street value of more than $1 million, Machanic said.
Nazar Daniyelyan was arrested and booked on suspicion of cultivation of marijuana and possession of marijuana for sale. He was being held at the Lancaster station in lieu of $100,000 bail.
Yikes - Looks like they had it going on.
