not unless pollinated by males but they will produce sap sacks (empty seed pods)

I don't think so cause he didn't say it had balls or anything like that so whoever started saying it was a hermie was dumb only if it's producing both pistils and pollen sacs would it be hermie

damn i always thought that a female would produce at least some random seeds. really this is wrong? how did i end up with like 10 seeds throughout a prev grow in some buds... no male anywhere. did it herm????

they can but it's rare-ish i think i've never heard of this or even read about it not quite sure how you ended up with 10 seeds it may have hermed but not so sure in your previous grow i'm guessing you smoked it? did it taste weird? how was it? how was the potency?

They can produce some amount of random seeds but normally its pretty weird. Although the plant could have a pheno that caused this to happen more often than usual.

my plant that is growing now, about 60 days into flowering had the same thing.

there were no males and i check the entire plant at least a few times a day.

just one bud sack on one of my branches seemed extremly huge compared to the rest of the bud sacks on the entire plant.

i decided to touch it and it was rock hard, i picked it off with tweezers, and there was one immature seed in there. had the formings of a shell case, but hadn't hardn't yet

i have been scouring the plant for the last two days and cannot find any other sack like that.

i wish i had pics, didn't think about it at the time, but i squeezed the seed and the little root came out (the part that grows out of the seed first).

it was odd. real odd.

I had a similar situation with my first grow. Turned out to be swollen calyxes. They all looked like seeds but had pistils coming out of them. Turned out to be great nug

i did the exact same thing and I was confused as balls. no males nothing, just the lower part of the nug has these premature seed pods and did the same thing when squished.

Im sure in some female plants there can sometimes be a seed or two without it being pollenated or hermie. I have found a rare immature seeds in some of the finest I have smoked. I have also read in other forums people finding a seed throughout there buds with no sign of pollen or hermies. Just my two cents.bongsmilie

They are also called 'false seed pods'

and they are no big deal, nothing to worry about. You will usually see one on each side of a branch near a node.

I think one of my whitewidow plants produced fake buds before....... for some reason they just didnt seem real to me- lol

when was this, you didnt cut it down? you didnt smoke it... what do you mean "I THINK my white widow plants produced FAKE buds before" Either it did or didnt, and either you smoked it or didnt... or it didnt happen at all and you're bullshitting.

I was joking,dont think there is a such thing as fake seeds or fake buds - I have had an outdoor plant that was full of empty seed sacks/clusters with no seeds in it- there were no visible male parts on the plant at all- not sure if it was a late hermie or what but i did smoke it and it was as good as the rest of my outdoor crop.

Not to worry. Late in flowering the calaxys begin to swell up and the pistils recede almost completely inside of them and very few white hairs remain. It's a good indicator the plants are about done. They do look like a bunch of seed pods in your bud tho, but they are not. Check your trichs every day until it ripenes the way you like it, flush & harvest, dry, cure, yummy..Cheers!!.
