What i am trying to suggest to you is that because of his low power cfl , the difference between dark and day (light leak included) is nothing , so what pathetic growth is being achieved is happening as in a 24hr cycle.

Now I gotcha, that makes sense! THe plant really does not recognize the difference between cycles and just keeps growing!

Sorry. maybe i didnt understand what you were saying.

Why is it he has to get a better light?
The light he is using is only strong enough to produce enough energy in the plant to veg. IT requires much more lumens to produce enough energy to flower properly.

well, I am sure now that the light leak is fixed, and especially if I put 2 more grow lights on it then I should be fine ehh?

It will make a pretty good difference. Just remember 2000 lumens per sq ft per plant for optimum growth. Also the size of your pot is a major factor in yield also.

To the Op,
you can grow some buds with cfl's
these grows are norm in smaller areas than yours as heat not an issue and light coverage over a smaller area is easy to achieve over shorter plants , your tall plant in a larger area will struggle even if 2 more cfl's added , sorry to bring you this update , but it really needs saying , you could grow on , produce some bud , and use it as a learning curve whilst you research more and aquire some better lighting ,
just a thought, good luck.....

i meant small and compact , micro size , you could run a 250w hps with no issues.
your area is not small.

its in a 10' pot, I originally intended it to be no taller than 3 ft. I know that means less yeild, but bro, I cant have a tree growing in my closet lol.

Also if you have been in 12/12 for 6 weeks and god knows how many vegative weeks , growing at 2 inches per night,
Do you realise how tall this would make your plant ?

My guess is you have not been in 12/12 for 6 weeks and you are just a bit eager ,
the extensive 2 inches per night you are getting is stretch as your plant recently has been switched and is stretching to the low power light,

i say how it is , no insults , like i suggested, learning curve,
Clonex.

vegetation weeks = 3. Like I said, it will have been flowering for 6 weeks on friday. so its a total of 9 weeks old. Its been growing at 2 inch every 24 hours for about 12 days.

Has no one seen this post? He answered his own fucking question...
I know I was reading threw to see if anyone will tell him to go with a warmer light, that's a damn cool spectrum he's rocking right now not to menchen far from the lady and weak lumen wise. Go to a more orange hue of light for flower, the HPS systems are pretty damn orange what you're currently using is for veg and cloning etc..
