6 Days flowering - no results??

Hi All,

I've been flowering my plants for 6 days now... lights just went off, so tomorrow will be day 7.

I started to flower these plants before they showed preflowers, just hoping I get females (only two plants).

How long realistically until I start to see some flowers or some hairs, or... well, lets just leave balls out of the question.

Here are some pics so you can see how big they were before flowering. These pics were on day 1 of flowering - not too much progress since.

2 weeks, should be good, just wait and see. give it some time..6 days is early,,keep us posted...male/female???

i'm praying for at least one female, just so my entire investment doesn't go to waste on round one.

PS - I got these from buydutchseeds - they are supposed to be white widow - but isn't white widow an indica? this is clearly sativa...

just wait it out bro. they will show flowers soon enough. your right white widow is an indica, not pure but mainly is. your right also those looks like a very sativa dominant strain. i like sativas better.

Day 11 now... no preflowers... no nothing. This can't be normal, can it????

Here are some pics. As you can see, they have really pushed out in only a few days. It's almost scary how fast these suckers grow. But just not growing any flowers!! I'm sure no light is penetrating. Should I give him a 13/11 light cycle to really kick them in or what??

nah man just wait. some strains take longer than others. sativas take longer to flower too.

is it normal to still not see preflowers? day 15 now... NOTHING.

Let's see some up close pics of the nodes of the plant at Day 15. Usually by now there should be some indication of sex but all plants are different. If nothing shows by Day 21, I would begin to worry.

hey man, I can't get that close because my camera is horrible. Hope you can make something out by node length or something. Here are the pics anyway. They have grown so much in those few days but shit i don't see much. Maybe a tiny little ball, but I think that will eventually just turn into a new growth tip.

Cant tell from the pics they are too far away. Inbetween the nodes you either see small grapes/balls, or hairs. I got down on my knees and literlty got within a inch or 2 to check my first plants. After it shows thou u will be able to tell which is which just at a glance.

So what happens after 21 days and no signs of sex, is it hemp?

I would think hemp also flowers to reproduce. It is just a different genus (?) than C. Indicus or C. Stativa. My plants flowered in 5-7 days so I'm sorry I couldn't help you with that. It just seems like no matter what kind of plant it was it would have to flower in some way (female or hermy) to reproduce. I would say keep going. What do you have to lose?

Yeah man sorry but like you said the camera just isn't good enough to give us a clear shot, so I really can't help. You'll be able to determine the sex in just a few days i'm sure tho as they seem to be healthy plants. The lights could have been closer but its not bad.

More than likely you'll know when you see the first signs of sex. Either you'll start getting little balls or little hairs will grow out. Try not to worry tho give it a little more time to develop if you can't quite tell, and i wish girls for you!

lol thats what i was thinking... and also you started flowering a little early i think...the plants were streachy and under developed, so they are trying to fill out.

and if it's not 12/12 then thats your problem.

thanks for the responses guys... They had a rough childhood I must say... at one point I had 6 seedlings (from seed) under 1 40w CFL... and i kept it about 2ft away LOL. Yeah I was newb.

Anyway to correct the issue I basically burried the stretched seedling stem and got that CFL within about an inch. Then I saw them jump back nicely. Put them under the 420W HPS at about 2 weeks, and have kept it about 8 inches away at all times.

I did top them a little late in development, something I will do much earlier in my next grow (topped at about 4 weeks, and just topped again a few days ago)

Anyway, yes, I am running 12/12. I've actually recently just put them on a 13 (dark) / 11 period, to see if maybe they just need that extra kick. Maybe another newb move, but hey learn from experience right?

Anyway I'm giving these babies until about day 25 to show signs of sex, otherwise I'm going to kill them and get a new strain. This was suppose to be White Widow, clearly some dominant sativa strand that is clearly not White Widow - so don't buy from "BuyDutchSeeds.com".

I don't think they've hit puberty yet.
