6 1/2 weeks flowering problems.

im about 6 and a half weeks into flower ( going 12) and she started having twisted leave the buds and trichs are looking good, but somethings wrong nute wise any ideas?
shes under a 70w hps with 6 cfls, unknown strain, foxfarm soil with 15-30-15 nutes added every other watering. any input would be helpful.

note: some of the yellow spots were from some lights falling and sitting on my plant. but my lower leaves have been turning a bright yellow green colour.

The same thing is currently happening to me and i think it might have been a heat issue. I lowered my temps and the leaves seem to be going back to normal.

Is your light very hot? Put your hand where the plant is for a few seconds, does it burn?

If its a heat problem, a fan blowing across the light's path will fix it :)

You are burning your plants with NON-flowering nutes ... I can tell this, because the pics you showed have obvious burn in the leaf, and during flowering, the leaves should not be that dark green, showing too much N and possible N toxicity or Nute Lockout. The way I know you are feeding more veg nutes than necessary and not enough flower, is that your leaves and whatnot are showing some purple in the stems. This is a common sign of phosphorus defeciency, which is the #1 necessary macro for bud development. What I would do is flush the soil with water only with atleast 5-10 gallons of water over a 10-20 minute period. Strain the runoff at the bottom and test it with a TDS meter for the PPM level, if you have one. If not, look at the runoff as it comes out. Should be colored. Maybe a dark brown/amber. As you flush, a more clear solution should be coming out. Until you see this more clear runoff, keep flushing. Do this for a couple days, and when the flush is complete, THEN, you can start adding nutes again on a lower level, and this time make sure it has low N and is more focused on higher Phosphorus levels

I don't think it's PH like above. Possible. But soil is easier to keep neutral than hydro and sees less swings. I'd put money on nutes.

It looks like a combination of to much N and heat stress. Mazar did a pretty good job of Diagnosing your plants problems. I would defiantly follow his flushing directions

thanks for all the input i think i over fed her, i will flush and restart i was told the numbers were ok for flower since its a 1-2-1 ratio. but they are crappy offbrand nutes as i am poor lol i also cant afford a tds meter but i will flush it asap and tweak the feeding i also had two days where the temps may have been a bit high but they usually stay between 72 and 75 highest thanks for all the advice.

im hoping to get some new nutes later this week.

also my ph "should" be around 6.5 i have one of the water tube testers so its hard to be accurate atm.

one more thing is unfortunately i fed it this morning how long should i wait to start flushing without over watering and i use distilled water is that hurting her?

To be honest, im not sure if you're over fertilizing as badly as you think. The only signs i see of a nutrient deficiency are a few red stems but i can see other stems in the pic are green so i think its a minor N, P, K deficiency (nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium). Also the colours of your leaves look fine, no yellow edges or anything that would indicate nutrient burn. Your ph is probably just a bit off but it doesnt look that bad, flush if you think it will avoid future problems but i dont think that there's any point this close to chopping.

If you can confirm that the few brown spots and tips are damage done by the light falling on the plant then I think you have your light too close and the heat is stressing out the plant.

Wait till the soil dries up at the top before you flush (if you're going to) and im not sure about distilled water. As long that the ph of the water is between 6.5 and 6.8 you'll be fine.

alright yeah i think i will flush her once she dries out i generally only water her when the soil dries out. i think i may have slipped up sometimes and phd before adding nutes which means my ph may have been high than it should be.

Using distilled can be great for a quick flush since distilled acts as a vacuum sucking up everything when it goes through it and out the bottom drainage holes. I have heard things about distilled causing shock to plants and their roots but I have never seen this. Just be careful for cal/mag problems.... I have cal mag issues right now after a huge distilled flush =O
