5x5

Sup ladies and gents, its nice to see the site back up! So me and the gf talked and made deals but I finally talked her into why a 5x5 is safer and smarter than 2 small areas in our new house! ;) ill still have a separate place for clones and mamma's but I don't need a tent for that. Anyway I bought some really nice strains which I received two days ago from attitude. Anyway ive been pretty set o a 1000w in the 5x5 tent... There is a guy just so happens lives about 2-3 hours from me bought a 5x5 tent 1000w digital radeon ballast a large a/c hood with 8in vents and a 8in 743cfm inline fan and a drying rack thing, 700 bucks its all new in box says he bought it then lost his chance to use it... Anyway I'm wondering what you all think realistically of 2 600's in that space with ac hoods? Or the 1000 in a magnum hood? More than anything I want the lights within or under 11in while maintaining a good canopy, if you think the 1000 can handle it I think it will be easier to cool one big light than two mediums with one big inline fan?

That is pretty much what I started with. I was using a 6" magnum xxl with 1000 watts and a 6" 435cfm and had great results with it. I did end up having to pipe in a/c during the summer, but I think it was mainly due to the small bedroom the tent was set up in. The light set up was perfect for the tent size. I also had one of those 6" duct fans that I used for My air intake and had really good negative pressure going on in the tent.

Cool thanks! Bump to anyone that gas legitimately rigged up two 600's in a equal or close to same size? Or can another validate 1000w is perfect even at 10-12in off the canopy

A 1000w light has a perfect footprint of 5x5. You want to keep the plants a little further away than 10" though. More like 14-16". And that's only if you have proper cooling in your space. Any closer and you might bleach your plants. If you have cool room air and are cooling your hood properly then 14-16" is perfect. 2 600's would be a waste if you ask me.
