ok i heard that u can turn the lights back on to 24 hrs for one to two days during the 5th week of budding then flip it back to 12/12 and it is supposed to stimulate bud growth out the sides of the buds supposedly...anyone heard of this or have any experience with it:?:

I wouldnt recommend that.
Never heard of it either.
Dont mess with the plant.
Let it be,
and let it grow.

That method you described sounds like more of a great way to make a hermie. Unless you feel like dealing with that, I'd say just let her be.

ya i just did the two days of dark at the end of my PC and it made a great difference......the whole 5th week thing he said is supposed to make new bud growth out the sides of the buds to help add more weight and yield to the end product...he swared up and down that hes done it for a long time and has never had one turn hermaph yet, so i dont know if the plant is already past the point of turning hermaph after the 5th week or what...i wish there were more people that have done this cause it sounded like a solid idea, cause im always lookin for little ways to make my yield a little bigger any way i can, but im like yall i dont want to mess with nature unless i know it will work...thanx for the input so far yall!!

yeah, I would do that as that is exactly what happens in nature.

I really can't think of anything that would stress and confuse the plants more than implementing that light schedule. If anything, you want to slowly decrease the amount of light time to maximize the production of flowering hormones. The flowering hormone is always present but is interrupted by the presence of light. Even a little amount of light. The prolonged nights that induce flowering allow larger levels of the flowering hormone to build up..and bang..flowers. Running 24 hours of light would eliminate thee flowering hormone.

But, in the interest of prolonging the existence of MJ urban legends.:wall:..there are also a ton of other things you can do that have no effect on yield/potency. Twist a knife in the main stalk, hang the entire plant upside down when drying, and blasting the plants with nutes in the last two weeks.:dunce::spew::???:
