56 Days on 12/12 - Seeded Afghan Plant

What up,

So my enitre crop has been seeded by a hermie, live and learn.

So do the rules change with seeded bud, flowering time, curing, etc...? Am I still looking for the same things regarding harvest? Is this bud gonna be that bad? I remember smoking bud with seeds when I was a kid and the weed was just fine.

Any insight regarding seeded bud is greatly appriciated.

Anyway, here are the two Afghan plants at 56 days on 12/12.

The yeild from these plants are exceptioally weak because the plants has been making seeds instead of bud. But are they done?

56 days seems a long time flowering for afghan. it appears to need at least another 2 weeks which will put you at 70 days/10 weeks. AF should finish in 45-60 days. as for the seeds in these plants, remember AF is a pure strain. so trainwreck and AF seeds may be something you want to play with a little as you will have less variation than with the crosses of crosses with the other strains you mentioned in your trainwreck post....if you get my drift..

couple WAGS (wild ass guesses)...maybe too much water, nitrogen, light. 1 i stop watering and let them really dry out toward the last 10 days or so. 2 my plants seem to do better if i move them away from the light when the buds stop filling out. seems to make them think they are gonna die and they go into defense mode and really start to put out trichs and start drying out. also i set my timer for 11.5 on 12.5 off. and last but not least is the nitro, make sure your fert mix is low number, high number, medium number (et 2,15,10) once the 12/12 cycle is started. i i fert with 17-17-17 for veg and then 6-15-11 for flower. judging from the healthy looks of your plants i would guess your problem of slow to mature is one of the 3 i mention.

Thanks for your help, Jeff

These plants are in a homemade DWC set up. I use RO water that reads 0 before nutes. Because it's a DWC, with the roots constantly submerged in solution, the nute concentration never exceeds 1/3 strengh. This bin has around 450-550 ppm for weeks

I use GH FloraNova Bloom formula which is a one part complete nute

I'm beginning to think it's the stress I caused changing their nutes. Two or three times I had to pull the plants out of their container to change the nutes.

well as you can tell by my posts i am an old fashioned soil guy. all the "dwc, ppm, submerged roots" talk might as well be chinese. i have absolutely zero experience with hydro. i am sure someone else will chime in w/help.
