Help me start the first 530 marijuana group.

"530 of Arizona" is a non-420 group that supports and promotes the re-legalization of marijuana. We believe in the responsible use of medical marijuana and advocate for libertarian and conservative principles.

530 is the most common time working and productive citizens gets home from work. So, 530 means pro-marijuana, pro-responsibility and is a number that I hope will distinguish the people who engage in the responsible use of marijuana and tend to have libertarian/Conservative political views, from the others (420).

We are a pro Liberty group with libertarian views and we believe everyone has the right to do as they wish with marijuana as long as it doesn't harm others.
530 is not an anti-420 concept it is pro freedom, but with freedom always comes responsibility.

"Don't Tread On Me"

We are looking for like-minded folks in Arizona to eventual get together for event and to discuss Law, politics and legal use/cultivation. I know our community is small but I know there is plenty of us in this State to get a nice little group together.

If this seems like a group you would like to be part of I will be making a group here on RIU, but for the time being, feel free to find us on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=group_186693484715556&ap=1

Anyone feel like the use of "420" in the legal and social campaign to legitimize marijuana is counterproductive? We have house bills with 420, Dr's offices with 420 in there name, lawyers....etc. 420 is synonymous with GangBanger, Smelly dreadlock, and socially undesirables. I am not claiming these are undesirables, I am just stating the general public opinion about the people associated with "420". Wouldn't we be doing everyone (party smokers/Pothead and legitimate MMJ users) a favor by rebranding marijuana and de-stigmatizing this herb?

We all want and have the right to smoke, be it for the sake of just getting HIGH or medicating, and I think a rebranding is what we need in the country.

Just my opinion though.
