52 days flowering (NEW PICS)

How much longer should i flower? When should i start flushing? THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Nice job!!! These ladies look excellent, however they appear to be about finished. I would say you should have been flushing at least once or twice a month during the entire grow process. My grow is Hydro (drip system with return to source) and I use a 5 gallons of nutrient solution at a time, flushing with clean water (PH balanced @ 5.5-6.5) every 15 gals of nutrients. This works out to a couple flushes a month. If you've never flushed them, I would definitely do so at least a week before harvest.
If your pistils have turned from white or yellow to a nice brown or amber color, you're very close to harvest, but check the facts against the strain you are growing. Some varieties reach peak harvest at different times.
Post some close-ups of the flowers, if you can. That way you'll get better advice if we can see the flowers clearer.

Hey thanks guys/girls i appreciate the nice comments. So i guess tomorrow i will empty my res and start the flushing process. I wish the buds were way more big and dense. Im usung a 400w hps I think i will get a 600w next grow. Do the buds thicken up during the flushing process? Or due they just stop all together during the flush?

Personally,

I believe they dont grow anymore after you flush out all their food.

If I were you, I would not worry about the flushing part, and just let em grow.

After you harvest, dry them out fully til the stems snap, and give them a nice long cure.

The cure process will remove all them unwanted chemicals.

This is a debateable subject.

I have experimented a few times with or without flushing.

The plants I did not flush were noticeably bigger.

Each to their own

START flush NOW buds look mature in color, and dont cut without at least of week of pure water

yeah the leaves are already starting to change color just give em plain water from here on out probably be done within a week from what you can see.

they are ready in one week if not now


you should have a 30x to 100x handheld microscope that your checking the tricromes with.. that is the only TRUE non guessing way to determine when the plant is finished.. once the trics go from clear to cloudy they are about ready, once they start to turn a bit amber you are losing thc potency. they seriously look about done to me

I guess you didnt understand what I wrote ya earlier...

The curing Process takes away the harmful chemicals and sweetens the pot...Literally

You have to cure after you dry your buds, Its like fine wine.

Id harvest in one week, the 60th day

Please realize Iam not a newbie here, and been doing this stuff for well over 10 years.

curing does not remove any nutrients left in the buds....not saying it doesn't taste okay but it will burn, hotter i guess is how i would describe it.
the ideal flush length is different from plant to plant depending mostly on its fertilization history/medium/speed of growth when flush is initiated.
you want to flush long enough that MOST of the nutrients that the plant stores, like fat in its leaves and root system get used up.
they will still do some fattening up, maybe not as fast or quite as much as if you just kept feeding but id rather smoke that shit that tastes great and is smoother than drinking milk than have the extra...

I have one concern...The main cola on one of the plants still has new white hairs but the rest of the buds are turning amber. You can see it in the third pic down.I went ahead and started flushing this morning.. Let me know///

curing helps to remove the chlorophyll. over time it evaporates out wit the moisture. chrolophyll is the harsh taste. along with any other smells or harsh tastes. they will all eventually cure out of the bud. try mixing 1tbps of blackstrap unsulphured mollasses per gallon. will help to give the plant carbs while you flush and make things sweeter tasting.
