Hey everyone...

If you had a 50W hps, what size of an area could you productively flower some decent nugs? I think there is a cabinet that is around 12"x12"x24" So about a square foot of canopy area. Would that light suffice for one or two small potted clones? What would be the best approach to recieve the best outcome?

Help!!!

Thanks!

Ventilation won't be an issue. Do you think one foot square is too big for the 50W? Also, how many little guys in what size of pot? You could go 1- 12" pot, or 2- 6" pots. I am just thinking of an area to place clones after rooting. So heighth wont be an issue, but want repeated results in 8 week area. Wishfully, less than 2 months would be great. That is why I am thinking smaller area, smaller plants, smaller results, but in the end. More better!?

What else yuh got?

a 150 watt hps will cover a 2x2 foot area
a 250 will cover a 3x3 foot area
and a 400water will cover a4x4 foot area

In my closet I have 3 plants in a 3x3 foot floor space
one 150wattHPS and 6 3 foot High Output T5 Florescent tubes that make 234 watts
also a couple of 45watt CFLs
and I always want more light
for ventilation I am using a 120cfm bathfan

in the pic a moved the HPS outta the way for the shot

Very nice Mattso! You are in soil too I take it? I see a lot of people doing hydro or aero, and I think it would be beyond my concept. Or maybe I just dont want to learn, I dunno. Plus there is no "local" supply. So it would all be internet ordering, and that bugs me out.
So it would be safe to say that I could easily do 50W in a 1x1x2H area huh? There wouldn't be much yield obviously, but that isnt the goal at this point due to space. Do you have more pics of your space? Is it a closet a box? what?

Thanks bro!
