500 watts of HID Lamps

I have 2 lamps that are in my closet space now... Used to only be one lamp but I added a second plant to it and added the other light... Both lights are working together it looks like to me and are lighting up the lower leaves of both my plants at the angle they are at.... I reckin having both 250 watt lamps equaling to 500 watts of power is ok for this grow right ?? They are so lit up that every leaf on both plants are getting a substantial amount of light... One plant is in the 5th week of 12/12 and the other is in the last of the first week of 12/12... First plant took almost two weeks to show signs of budding and now buds all over it... The second is not showing signs of sex at all yet , But I suspect by this next friday it should show something... But anyway , 500 watts should be good enough right ?? Should yield pretty good I guess... They are both Sativa cause they like growing tall, My big sativa is shaped like a christmas tree, Its never had problems seeing the light at the bottom from one light much less two.. lol What is Yalls input on this... Oh yeah and my temps are at 72 degrees at all times , as they are in my bedroom getting plenty of carbon dioxide from the air we breathe in it..lol

500w for two plants is plenty and the temps are great. You should see the first signs of sex at the 10th node. If you have 10 nodes (from the bottom), look closely and hopefully you will see a pair of white "hairs" where the node meets the stalk.

What sign should I look for to spot out the males? Would they be hairless? or would there be a small ball growing instead of hairs?

small balls instead of two white hairs at the nodes (thats how it starts)

Lol, I hope so man. I won't be disapointed those because Ill be using 1 male to pollenate one of the other females.

Hope the one your sexing turns out to be female too Weedster. 500watt is more then enough for 2 plants, you'll have some decent herb. Id suggest cloning right after you find out that your second plant is a female, throw some mini plants under the 12/12 and you'll get a better total yield.

Well I think my plant that has been budding for a while finally showed up to be a late hermie... Dont know why it showed up so late but these little balls are starting to show up everywhere around the main stalk of the plant... But its wierd too... One ball actually has 2 hairs coming out of it and the other 6 balls around it arent doing anything yet... This is one wierd freakin plant man .... Thanks for the input Marlboro...
