Hi all. Complete newbie here. Am sick of buying crap weed for expensive prices that is coated so decided to have a crack at growing.
I messed around with a few loyryder 2 but have now decided to have a pop at the real deal. The grow has been started in a closet but we are playing with the idea of building a cab in the loft.Heres my equipment

5 large pots
Plagron soil with perlite
5 feminised white widow seeds. I have such good friends.
125w Blue spectrum Cfl with reflector
400w Hps floodlight philips son T lamp
Mylar
Bio Bizz root stimulator
Advanced nutrients Granma Enggys seaweed extract
Advanced nutrients Monkey Juice Grow
Advanced nutrients Monkey Juice Bloom
Water Ph meter
Hygrometer
100 mm Carbon filter
100 mm ruck fan to be purchased
8 in occisilating fan
2 x 100mm bathroom extractor fans for intake

Not all the equipment is in use as the final grow location hasnt been decided. Basically just looking for some feedback on what people think. All tips or opinions welcomed. Thanx in advance Che

I germed 3 seeds in a cup of ph corrected water. the 3 showed their taproots after 48 hours so i planted them in soil. they are currently under reflector with the blue spectrum lamp. All 3 broke the surface in 2 days so i germed the final 2 They showed taproots after 48 hours so planted those. the first batch were already a inch tall. Of the second two one was planted upside down so took a couple of extra days to break surface. All five look strong and healthy but the second 2 are few days behind. They were on 24/0 to start then back to 20/4 and now are on 18/6. Have a few pics to post. the larger ones were about 13 days old in the pics. that was last week. will post more tommoro when i charge my camera

Whatsup, man. I'm using Monkey Juice, too. But it's the coco formula. You might wanna check my journal anyway. You can avoid my early mistakes but once I got over those it has been friggin awesome! You won't be disapointed. You probably already know this but don't start nutes until three weeks after sprout. I'll keep checkin in. Happy growing:leaf:

edit: what exact kind of light is that? Your sprouts are looking really good with big leaves and no stretching...nice

Hey Mared juwan. Thanks for dropping by. Just read ur journal there. Wow you've had some trouble. All a learning experience i suppose. Not sure which monkey juice it is. Will check later when i go to take up to date photos. Ive read alot about nute burn but I also read a lot about the good effects of root stimulators and seaweed extract. My babies have been getting a small dose of both with their feeding from day one and show no sign of problems. Now Ive got to week 3 i think Im stopping the seaweed and root food and giving a tiny dose of grow. Once a weed i will spray foliage with seaweed to boost it. the dosage on the monkey juice bottle seems quite high. Have you a recommended dosage? Back later with new photos

Just back from the grow and took some more pictures. Yeah Mared juwan the Monkey juice i have is the coca one. Gave them a small taste of grow earlier of about 4ml/2litre.The 3 i planted first get larger everytime I look at them. The others are laggin a little but they are a week behind. If i wanted plants growing to about 4 ft how long should I veg them or is there a certain period you should veg for? Heres the pics.

Hey just stopping by to check out your grow. I would let those plants veg a little bit longer until you start the 12/12 schedule. They are looking good though! good luck!

yeah u want them bout a foot to 18 inches. I do it by how the plant looks rather than how long its been growing.

Cool thanks Mr West. Ill do that so. Seems like a better theing to do rather than relying on amounts of days. Sure i'll see how it goes. Finally got my hps sorted today. Testing on a flowering lowryder 2 I have. See if it will give that a boost.

Your plants are looking awesome, dude! You're a natural Green Thumb. The guys I've been getting advice from say not to go over 10mL/gal (~2.6 mL/L) while in veg. I haven't even been giving my plants that much and they've grown faster than expected. I'm starting flower today. So just keep up what you're doing but monitor for signs of burn pretty close. You want your leaves to have a slight shiny, waxy appearance like little solar panels but if you overdo it they will burn. Whatever you do, make changes in small increments, don't change by 1+ mL/L in one watering. And wait as long as you can to flower. The longer the better. Grow your plants until they are half the size of the area you are growing in because they will double in size in flower. It makes sense as far as efficiency because as long as you already have the plants up and growing, it's less sweat off your balls to let them grow bigger with bigger yield than to have a smaller harvest and start over. This is because these plants grow way faster once established and very slow as seedlings. You'll see.

Thanks for dropping by again. When exactly do I know when then move from seedling to veg? Sorry if thats a silly question but i am a newbie. How long did you veg yours for. I have about 4 feet in height to play with so i may veg them to 2 feet. U say they establish themselves slowly and then grow fast. That would make sense because the 2 that are a week younger look tiny compared to their older sisters. Is that a trait of White widow or of all gange strains. U must remember also that you have a metal halide for veg and i only have a cfl. I have a standard mh bulb from a floodlight i got from my dad (he has an electrical shop) Its not a grow lamp but would that be better than the cfl or does it have to be a special grow lamp. Again all opinions greatly appreciated.

These were 36 days from seed at the time of the picture. Three feet tall. I didn't know you were only working with four feet. Yeah, grow to just under two feet, then flower. I'm not sure on this, but that metal halide floodlight should help. I've heard of people using sodium lamps from parking garages. Use that and the cfls, should be good.

Not a silly question, lot of people have different opinions. Most would say when you see the first true leaf, you know the kind that have 9 sections, is when veg starts.
