Number one thing wrong ...... You ran the panel with the veg switch ( blue ) only.
You should have run BOTH SWITCHES ON. All the time. All the way til chop.

Individual channels are pathetically weak running one color. I have a Vipar ( still have it ) but moved on to QBs ( Quantums) since then but know what works with this light.

It ACTUALLY pulls 278w @ wall ( kil a watt tested ) so that " 600w " is pure bullshit ,
However IT WILL grow some plants. Height at 18" . I find seedlings will still stretch with this light , so may need to START your germed seed under a CFL , T5 or similar.

Once the first leaf set is done , push her under the Vipar . It Vegs plants like crazy.
Flowering is pretty good for what it is ( one large plant or no more than a pair.
SCROG works well with this light.
It does not have a good corner / fringe coverage so being in the most intense part of the footprint is a given . 15" to 18" is a height to keep .

It is a noob friendly light, but I liked the buds I got and kept the damn thing since moving on to better lights . There is many trolls hating on this panel , but I used it , I liked it so take the negative shit with a grain of salt.

It not gonna get you pounds but it will get you tight , dense , Terpy nugs.

I run two par600 vipars over 4x4 hung more than 24” over the canopy, it is just enough light to do a decent job, and damn near hot as a 600w hps, but with better overall penetration and lifetime, slightly lower power draw.
Just giving OP a baseline to work with.

Ya! It grows good bud..... not great but really good. I cant have the heat from an hps MH. I have all of them and the heat from those to me seemed more than my house could bare. I’m vegging some blueberry and King Tut clones under my 600 reflector series now

i also have to Mars300’s I use them for extras on the ends, bought all of them used 240$ for all three

Shittt Its been a while, but i know what caused the problem with those spots on the leaves, some type of deficiency due to the tap water i was watering with, guess nyc tap was too harsh on it? Noticed it when i switched to bottled spring water for a week and the new sets of leaves that grew looked really nice. Anyway, 2 weeks after i posted this thread i switched her to 12/12 with both switches on, from there it shot up. I should've used both veg and flower switch for the entire grow. She prolly woulda been way bigger but hey we all gotta start somewhere lol. Harvested on the 8th week of flower and got a little less than 2 oz's from her, the smoke was great!

Gettin started on my 2nd grow which will be white widow from canuk seeds. This time around i'll start the seedling with CFL then after 2 weeks i'll move it under the led with both switches on, using only bottled spring water. Hopefully all goes well! I'll be documenting the grow on my ig: newyorkgarden
