New Grower Mistake #?: Skimping on odor control.

I sometimes see posts by newbies asking if odor filters are really necessary, usually because they want to reduce startup costs. And the answer is "yes", they are really necessary, even if venting through the roof like I do. Otherwise the odor will land you in jail.

Great thread. I think a lot of new growers develop mother goose syndrome once their seed have sprouted because it's something new and cool and they just can't bring themselves to close the door or zip up the tent and let the plants do what plants do, which is grow at their own pace. The plant will show you what it needs, you can't just feed it what you think it needs

Proactive is the way to go about bugs. Preventative is better than dealing with mites/bugs. Mites need their own thread.

Might just do that...
Spider mites have to be the most hated of all the types of mites that can invade a garden, especially in a greenhouse. I'm surprised I don't have brain cancer from all the pyrethrin foggers my father had me set off in his greenhouses when I was a kid.lol

I'm not using an odor control device as we speak, and I live "behind enemy lines." 88% of the people think it should be legal here, though. And I smoke weed regularly with no cops called on me yet (knock on wood). Does it really get that bad?
