hey peeps!
i started the 12/12 stage 5 days ago when 2 of my mangoes were 13inches tall. now, they are over 2 feet and leaves seem fresh and healthier than ever! had 4 more apart from the 2 mangoes, but had to get rid of 2 due to the mangoes outburst in growth..
im afraid that im gonna have to et rid of the other 2 as well...
has any1 experienced this before? 1 foot in 5 days?!
lights are 250 hps, and i gave a 30 hour dark period before i stared 12/12 but that doesn't explain an extra 12 inches in 5 days right?! plus the lights like 3cm away from the canopy. i have a fan circulating cool air so heat isnt a problem.

oh i and i need a way to adjust my lights, kus right now the lights are sitting on top of 2 bars, so lights are not adjustable. where could i find suspenders/ adjusters to move the lights up and down?
thanks in advance.

I have no idea what a mangoe is, but perhaps its a crazy Sativa that just took off. Or maybe it's an indica with a short flowering time? They say plants grow 2-3 times their ending veg size in the flowering stage. I wouldn't rule it out as abnormal unless the growth continues. The plants are definitely not stretching for your light at 3cm away... I'm surprised they aren't frying though... should be a little further away but I guess that's okay for a 250 watt. The 30 hour dark period is a little excessive too. I actually do the opposite (because my flower and veg are on opposite schedules), so my plant gets a really full last veg day before going 12/12. The criticism to that, which also applies to you, is that you're suppose to do a gradual light change to emulate the sun. Maybe you freaked the plants out to thinking they're dieing with the 30 hours of darkness... so they went into turbo grow mode?

Summary: Keep an eye... growth may stop and won't be a big deal, maybe move your light a couple centimeters away, don't do the 30 hour darkness thing... do something more gradual to a 12/12.

30 hours of darkness is something you do before harvest so your plant supposedly builds more "crystals"/cloudy trichomes right before you chop.

Mango, is a strain from KC Brain and i think its supposed to be a hybrid of afghani and something else, so supposedly indica dominant. I've heard that the low pricing results in the seeds giving off unstable genetics, so im guessing thats what im experiencing.

its my first grow, and im learning EVERYthing the hard way, but it's really fun and worthwhile learning whats good and whats bad.

any suggestions as on how to adjust the lights??
