I've just added an oil filled rad to my room coz the temps have dropped big time last 2 days i've also got a fish tank heater in my nft tank, the lowest temp was today 12c with the lights off need to stop it going below 10c, below 10 the plants may stop growing or take forever to finish.

Cheesus is doin amazing stinks to high heaven of dank fruityness not cheesy at all tho all with at least 4 main colas on each plant all about 12inches long there at about 36 inches in total they stayed quite nice and short considering i flicked at 20inches im not expecting them to get any taller now really
Im tht pleased with the cheesus ive ordered another 10 seeds

The bubble cheese on he otherhand has pissed me off from the start ones like 5 feet tall with 10inches between budsites no bud till te last 3inches of branches basically a big lanky plant with about half oz on it smells nice and fruity just a pain in the arse really lol

been following this thread, yeh boys watch buddhas cross overs, alot of dem arnt stable.cheesus is 1 i really wanna have a grow at,oil filled heaters are the way forward lads, convectors will give u black fly n iv used a blazing orange heater too, they are alot better but there is a chance of a fire expecially in a loft with flammable insulator about.the fucker falls over n boom,ur fooked.anyway, keep up the good work lads and be careful with that 1000w,any copper will see that in his chopper, specially with the weather in britain, its bin pissin down n its freezing.stay safe.saaaaaaaafe

Damn those plants look incredible! I have 5 cheese clones going right now and if they end up looking anything like yours i'll definitely be stoked! How did your cheese plants respond to topping? I have been debating whether or not to top mine but have been getting different answers all over the place on how well cheese responds to topping. Awesome grow man keep up the good work! +rep

cheers for dropping by peeps!
Im actually rocking a 600 watter not a 1000 my mate let me down on the 1k and it wont let me change the tread title.

Id def rekomend the cheesus cant fault it at all responded really well to the topping and a really stabalised pheno smells beautiful.

I cant really be arsed to grow out 20 plants just to find a mother im not a perpetual growef so would rather just pop seeds and finish them with a nice bit of unifomity thats why i usually do single strain grows too shall def be doin thatgain next time round.

Well hope all your christmas crops are doing well im just waitin for someone to post a decorated mj plant with a fairy on the top lol

Haha pine trees are definitely over-rated as chrismas trees I think we need to start a movement towards a cannabis christmas.

Hi there, been reading through the Journal so far and your ladies are looking great! Nice work so far.

Looking through your pics, Ive noticed your light is pretty low - with my newest setup the light is going to be around the same height from the plants as yours, I was a little concerned but by the looks of your ladies I have nothing to worry about!

Oh and Im just about to delve into some research on this 'Uncle Bens topping method'... thanks for the 411 :)

Awesome job, now to figure out how to subscribe...

hey mikeymagic thanks,

You should be able to keep your light within 12 inches from your canopy, depending on what method your used to UBs topping method is great reduces final height a lil but gives some nice colas anvery even growth too ill be doing it all the time now.

Yes yes cannachristmas tinsel on it and all sorts lol

Just had a look at Uncle Ben's method and i will probably do this when my ladies are ready for a butchering... have you tried FIM at all? I am really between minds... I feel FIM would be a bit messier but its good to see your results either way.

Bet you cant wait to smoke that 'angel' at the top of your canna christmas tree ;)

i think i have tried every method goin sincd i started growing but have found UBs method is more planned growth as there is only one way the plant can grow after you have done the deed lol there are only 4 places in which the plant can grow where as with fiming and topping past the 2nd cola it is pretty random growth where only god knows where your auxins are going to be distributed ending up with uneven canopy if you get what im saying
Im not claiming that any method increases or decreases yield just comes down to preference and growing style really,
Im not into sog or scrog or lsting really too much hassle thats why i have found this method works well for me just top soon as you have 3 nodes and then leave it b till the end.

Well gd luck with whichever method you choose mabe try both so next time round you will be able to make an educated guess eh. All about trial and error really and i have had plenty of errors in my time lol
