4X8X6.5 Tent 2 250w hps 720 cfm fan

Hello All I am going to set up a 4x8x6.5high tent with two 250 watt lights. The lights have a vent on top of the hood they are not cool tubes the vent measures 5 inches. I was going to connect both 5 Inch vents from lights into a "Y" then go out of tent a 6 or 8 inch duct then also do a 8 inch exhaust from top of tent and both of these connect into another "Y" to attach to a hydrofarm 8 inch 720cfm fan outside of the tent. My question is would this fan be strong enough to keep it cool? Even with all the "Y's"? It is about 5000 ft elevation where Im at so it gets warm in summer like 90 sometimes more. Also would this be adequate lighting for 6 plants? I was actually gonna build a little cabinet 2x4x4high that stand about a foot and a half off the ground and put it in one side of the tent this will have computer fans circulation this little box with florescence lights and be used for clone/veg. So even with this space taken up would 2 250 watt lights be enough for 4x6 area with 6 plants? and would 720 cfm's be good enough or would it always me maxed out I would like to be able to turn the fan down some. Keep in mind I also plan on adding a filter on the pushing end of the fan too. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I will get pictures once it is set up.

You need more light if you plan on using the hole space like two 600's or even better two 1000's as long as you can cool it with ac

I agree too I plan on upgrading the lights very soon but for now its what I have and have to make it work but Its going to be 6 plants in a 4x6 area 3 plants per 250w I know its a little small but I should get something. I was thinking about adding a 150w or 200w cfl into the mix for now as well. Would the 720 cfm fan be sufficient enough to cool and exhaust the current setup? Would this fan be big enough if I upgraded to 2 600w later on? I also have another question that I am trying to figure out how should I arrange 6 plants under two lights? I will probably do scrog method but not sure I how should set the pots in the area.

Yes it will cool the lights and even when you get two 600's it should work. Inline fans cool better pulling the air instead of pushing. I like using one fan for the lights and another fan for the carbon filter for a few diff reasons but either will work if your on a budget. Your plant set up depends on how close you have the lights mounted together and just have to play with that after set up. If your going to flower this round with 250 watt hps then keep the plants short those lights don't have much light depth for decent buds

Thanks for the advice Tony. I am going to have the inline fan for the exhaust so it will be pulling air from tent it just wont be pulling it thru a carbon filter its gonna be pushing thru the filter because I am hooking the lights and exhaust to same fan. I plan on keeping them real short with scrog method how low should I put the screen? I can have 12 plants but that too many for my setup I am trying to figure out a nice rotation of 6 vegging under fluros and 6 flowering. How many g's per watt should I expect to get with 250's in this setup?

The screen kind of depends on what strain your using also how branchy of a strain you have. If it's going to stretch alot you may want to train very short but if your using fem seeds they might go hermie on you trying that but if your raising clones you will have a better chance. As far as yield goes it depends on strain, health of the plant and your training and grow skills. So with a good yielding strain a seasoned grower should hit a gram per watt with hps bulbs. Again I don't know your level of grow skills or if hydro or soil so it's hard to say. I'd focus on getting your set up dialed in with proper air exchanged in tent and just try to grow healthy plants and worry about yield when ya move up to the 600's. Don't try to overfeed or stress to make more yield just keep it simple and make sure your medium is done right and good roots equal good buds. Put a good isolating fan in it and make them shake like they live on the beach
