4x4 Soil SoG Setup

I've got a 4x4 flowering room under construction, and a veg box and a clone box. I want to try a soil version of a rotating SoG setup. I'm wondering if I'd have room for 16 females in the flowering area? With 16 sq ft. would that be too tight of a squeeze. Keep in mind I'm after colas only to maximize space and yield efficiently and will be rotating clones. If i'm over estimating, about how many SoG plants could I fit in that kind of space? :blsmoke:

Im no expert, but i think 16 plants in 16' might indeed be a squeeze, but its definitely do-able, think of those people who can grow pot in pc cases, im sure 16' of space will be fine. Usually SoG plants dont become too huge so you should be good.

I fit 30 plants in 5X5 easy with 2 gallon pots, I tried 1 gallon didn't like them too much because of watering them all the time, nute def/over nute ect I found the the 2gallon works best with a good organic super soil with some lime. I flower mine relatively small 1ft tall, I have a seperate clone and veg under cfls so they don;t get huge in veg

Cool thanks natrone. How long are your cycles? I'm thinking about maybe a once per month harvest. So my flowering room may be separated into 2 or 3 trays, each for 1 month of flowering so I can rotate each month. I've seen it done in hydro/aero and now I want to try it in soil, I just don't know if I'll be able to turn them around quick enough to make it a rotating cycle. My medium is 70% FF Ocean forest with 30% perlite.

IMO, i think sog sucks in soil, loads of work, sucks flushing out 20plants, i used 1galln square pots 8 to a nursery tray, nice single cola lollypops, but still tons of work, maybe a flood table if u should upgrade to hydro would be perfect for your space and what you want to accomplish

Yea I may end up convering BACK to hydro if I absolutely have to. Soil just isn't as forgiving and flexible. I guess hydro is the way to go for a SoG. As for the flush, I'd probably be only looking at harvesting 8 maximum at a time. The other half of the flowering room would be 1 month behind.
