well today has been 9 weeks for the girls and everything is looking great. the buds are getting so plump and i noticed a nice frost forming on the buds. each plant has its own smell, but my nose is still a little stuffy from being sick so its hard to really tell what each smells like, LoL. grassy is looking good and betting bigger, i need to keep her under control so she can stay in the veg box till the 2 big girls are done. im hoping the top job i did on her works, new growth is just starting to come out where i made the cut. and blade is keeping up with her and doing great also, LoL.

Hey CD, Looking good, how much are you expecting to get in all from this grow? And whats the PH of jungle growth soil? can it burn your plants when they're smaller?

thanks blunt, i just did a ph test on my rain water and then run off from the clone. it went in at 6.0 and came out at 6.2. this batch of rain water is a little down on ph, the last batch was about 6.4, but the plants are showing no ill effects from it. so far, i have had no problems with the jungle growth soil, i love it!! this clone is the first time i cut a clone and went straight into the soil with the cutting, i just put some schultz take root clone powder on it and put it in the soil and she's growing great. none of the plants show any burning at all.

CD you definitely inspired me to try Jungle Growth soil, but of course I had to add to it - perlite and MycoGrow (mychorizzae - sp??). I wish I had just left the soil alone because the ph has dropped to 5.5 and I'm only a few days into my grow. Did you do anything to the soil or just use it as is? Does anyone know anything about MycoGrow? I kind of feel like it made the soil too acidic but I don't really know that for sure. My plants aren't dying - they actually look OK - just not growing much. They seem kind of stuck or stalled. I am growing Northern Lights and California Hash. Your plants are really an inspiration - I love looking at them. Can't wait to see the finish!

WoW, thanks matrix!! i use it right out of the bag, i just break up the "clumps" real good when i put it in the pots, then kinda drop them to settle it and then put the plants in. i have started all my grows in those green 6" pots that the clone is in and then transplanted into whatever final pots i use. the first grow i did, i used scotts black potting soil, which wasnt really that bad. i read about the FF soils and did a lot of research and the jungle growth seem to be the closest and it was a lot cheaper, $6.99 for like 2 cubic feet i believe (just looked, now $7.81 a bag), the bag weighed like 24 pounds. its only sold at lowes. so no, i dont change anything about it and it drains off pretty well also. my girls seem to love it. i know im gonna get another bag when i do my next grow for sure. sorry, dont anything about the other stuff you mentioned. thanks again, i'll try to get some better pictures tomorrow.

Thanks CD - I still have half a bag left so I think I'm just going to start over with just the soil and no ammendments and pray my plants look half as good as yours do.

well its been 4 weeks of 12/12, which is half way for the rocklock and about 6 more weeks for the kandy kush. im getting ready to mix up the week 5 ff nute mix. the buds are filling in real nice and getting real frosty on both plants. im getting the cha-ching in a couple days and will add that to the mix. that should really make the buds bust out!!

grassy coming along real good to, im trying to hold her back some before she takes off. if i get mutable tops, i will tie her down while shes in the veg box, i bought 1 more Y and 2 more 6500k bulbs to give her 4 bulbs in there, these should be the last few things i need to spend money on for a while, i hope. blade is doing great also, i plan on keeping it going even when i transplant grassy in to the 4 gallon bucket. i dont its really hurting anything and it looks cool, LoL.

thanks bro, ive never even read much about them so not sure if they make a difference or not but i have no intention of using one. sticking to my cardboard box, cfl's, jungle growth soil and my fox farm nutes, i did just order the cha-ching, should be here in a couple days.

I only ask cause I've had one in my setup for the past 2 weeks and was wondering if it was actually doing anything. At the least it's not hurting anything but if it's not helping then i'd like to know so i don't waste my time with it anymore.

I think u will get 2 oz's per plant for sure. The ladies look so healthy they shouldn't have any trouble producing for ya. You need to get some HID's to really blow ur yields up.
