Hello expert growers of the world!

I have two plants growing here, in the pictures listed below, that are now 2 days into flowering. Given the fact that these pictures are of horrible quality, would someone be able to tell me if these are male or female? If not, can you tell me where to look to find the preflowers? I don't see any balls and I see lots of hairs, but the same hairs that have been there since it was a seedling.

Thanks in advance!!

Yeah by those pics it is impossible to tell. But hey do a search there are tons of pics of female/male/hermi plants. Basically i'd start searching on a plant when it has atleast 7-10 nodes, and i'd look at the 3-4th node up searching at where the stems intersect with main stem. the "hairs" you say you are seeing aren't hairs, i can't remember their technical name because i'm drunk :) but you are looking for white hairs, if you see a tiny pear shaped "leaf" coming from the base of the stem onto the main stem with 2 white hairs coming out you have a female, if you see a cluster of balls or just anything round and not protruding hairs then it's a mail. I probably don't come off clear, but males and females are very distinctly different. the males are more of a ball round, and the females are more pear/teardrop shaped with 2 hairs coming out.

edit: I found this pic of a known female

you can visibly see the 2 white hairs protruding.

i'll add a male pic once i find it.

edit2: found a descent pic of a male

see the protruding stubby ball w/no hairs.

Hey guys,

Thanks so much for your responses!

I've concluded that my plants have not shown their preflowers yet. I guess I will have to wait 8-10 days to just see it in time.

This is my first quasi-grow. I started really stupidly without doing research (10 seeds under 1 20w cfl in a box lined with tinfoil and a stick of miracle grow) - then when I saw sprouts I started to research. Now I have a 400W HPS and general hydroponics nutrients. Anyway I just love this stuff and love all the resources available on the site!

If anyone is interested, I will update once I find out what sex they are!

Thanks
