  • Other:3.5x3.5 Rockwool cubes for starters.

My First Update!

So all five have germed and i didnt expect such good results, so I only have 4 of the buckets. Therefore, one of them will be grown in a 1 liter pepsi bottle. Not a huge deal, 4 autos all in 5 gallon buckets is gonna be a pretty good harvest alone. So im not too worried about the one in the small pepsi bottle. I guess itll just be my girlfriends plant as she is with me on this one. She can take care of that and learn, while I take care of the others. Anywho, Heres 4 of them, one has already been placed in the pepsi bottle. Pics of tent setup later tonight.

Arent They Butes!

Stay tuned, These are gonna be growin fast. They germed in less than a full 24 hours.
Thanks for stoppin in!

Im on-board for a couples grow. lets see what you guys can do! so far so good but if they where mine I would start them under the 400hps. Just make sure that the light is higher then usual, like 24 inches or so. Its sort of a waste of electricity but in the end I think they will be better off for it. They will grow faster and thicker.

Thanks guys!
I'm too scared they'll burn, being so young. They haven't even all sprouted.
Maybe soon though. These cfls will serve me well for now.

So, my girl and I were going through a bunch of journals these past few days, and I'd have to say about 90% of them were abandoned.
How annoying. People need to finish their shit. I'm aware that some people just get busted or have some kind of emergency, but what about all the people who don't? And there are a few good people out there who will post up a reason why they stopped updating, so kudos to them. Gah. Nothing like scrolling through a journal, reading almost every post, just to see the plants barely even flower, if at all.
I was looking for an indoor grow of BigBud, any brand- don't care which. If anyone knows of any indoor big bud grows, preferably with a 400 watt, reply with a link. Thank you my friends.
And on to the update:

They all 5 have sprouted. :)
I have faith in this grow's outcome. Five DinaFem white widow Autoflowers, this is hopefully gonna bring us at least a couple hundred grams (About 7oz's) if I play my cards right. Send some good luck our way folks!
So I put them under the 400 watt MH tonight, because as of last Wednesday, the roots to WW1 and 2, were
emerging through the cubes so I put them all in their final containers. I have a cool tube with an air intake of about 45 DEG F. Thanks to the shitty ass weather of NYS. Thank you spring, for keeping us all nice and cold :|
Here they are right after the light change

Ummm... What headphones?
So my love was researching some info about playing mu
sic to plants and its affect on growth rates. So we decided to conduct our own experiment. We will have classical music played 24/7 through headphones to one plant and see if there are any significant changes.
Oh and here are some geckos we saw at an exotic pet store in tow
n (for your entertainment).
:)

good job so far. I don't think you will be able to tell if the music makes any difference as seeds tend to vary quite a bit even when they are from the same strain.

Thanks man. and Right. Different phenotypes will cause a difference in genetics. But this one is my girlfriends and she insists. Haha. She thinks she can get close to matching the yields of the others by adding music, due to articles she read. You can check some out I posted some links in my thread about music and cannabis growth. But when I can, I'll take clones from my next photoperiod grow and have the same conditions for every plant and compare. It would be interesting though, you know.
Why not? :)

Fenian brotherhood:

thanks bro.
well simply because I'm not an auto kind of person and I will be going back to photos. And I'm interested in yield over quality. I don't smoke much anymore because of my job, they test. So I can only smoke a little here and there. So I'm in this for supplemental income. And big bud looks like an interesting strain. High yields= new car, apartment, bigger grow op etc.. Lol

Well wait a sec guys, I'm not saying I'm gonna grow some shitty weed. You know, I didn't say Quality goes out the window. Calm a little thatsmessedup.

Yes. Potency is good. Big bud isn't all that bad. I mean I like to do mixed grows. I had some Cindy 99 a few years ago, it's very potent. I mean talk about some resin production. They can get pretty big also, but I want to dip my toes into some crosses of big bud. Maybe breed my own. I'm willing to take the time and compromise of one plant per grow to achieve a good cross strain.
But the big bud x white widow sounds like a good plan. I'll check that out. Thank you.

Quick update:
Not much happenin' folks. Not yet anyways :)
I think they might have been shocked somehow by the hps being on too soon. Its not burning them, its 3.5 feet above them with a cool tube, keeping the bulb very cool. WW2 seems to have conquered the shock and is growing okay now. But for two weeks and they only look like this? Any suggestions?

Here they are at 13days old:

When you put seedlings in 5 gallon pots that is what happens. The seedlings roots are growing, and that is a huge medium to grow in, so they keep going south and expanding. I usually start in smaller pots and then transplant to the five gallon bucket. They are just stunted, you will probably see a huge growth spurt very soon. Did you completely soak the five gallon buckets when you transplanted? Did you water them when you transplanted? Always water when transplanting. Just don't over water seedlings, give them light, and let them do their thing. Do not give nutrients until they are big enough, your soil should contain enough to get through a few weeks of vegetative growth. Good luck, peace and good vibes to the both of you!
