so i have run into issue in the past week with three of the girls, the White Widow and Sour Apple and Tangerine

hey mc thanks for the quick reply, the temps if anything are a bit low, they are totally under control.

the ph has been the biggest issue this whole grow i think. i don't have a decent ph meter so i've been eyeing it...

i noticed my run off was a high ph in about week 2 so i started adding apple cider vingear, then things got weird and i added a little baking soda and now i just water with filtered water and the nutes.

my first thought in regards to the tangerine and sa was that it was a low ph, so i just watered with distilled tap water. it didn't get much worse since then, but it certainly hasnt got a lot better.

How often are you watering your plants I have seen depending on your medium between every 3-4 days and are you feeding your plants each time you water (water with filtered water and the nutes.) Is the Nutes with each watering if so thats to much I usually feed mine once every week every other watering usually Good LucK :bigjoint:

Distilled tap water can be 8 or higher. Do you know what your ph is? Do you know what your temps are? What are they? Nothing can be fixed without the proper tools for the job.

Or you can just say fuck it . . . bongsmilie they're gonna be pretty good bud looks like.

you guys are effin awesome! the replies just pour in! i wish i could give you more specifics =/

i KNOW my temps are LOW, 76 max (at the top, much lower at the base)
meaning it takes a few days for the pots to dry out completely
i DO NOT KNOW MY PH, how can i figure this out? i have one of those cheap soil ph meters, and its USELESS. should i buy a pool ph test kit and ph my water before watering? (the obvious answer to this question is yes, and i remember intending to do so, but then i went i got to home depot the ph range tested by the kit made me not by it, i think it didnt test far enough low or far enough high.)
my guess is that my ph is LOW, i should have used dolomite lime. what is a good way to raise it besides baking soda? watering with a dolomite lime tea perhaps?

i do let my pots dry it, i have every time, but im tempted to go ahead and give the SA and Tangerine a good nute watering, because theyve done very little in the past few days
i do not water with nutes every time, every other watering

again, you guys are awesome! THANKS!

its a ph test kit that they sell here at a local hydro store, u fill the clear vile half way full of your water, water added with nutes, and it even tests the soil ph, then add 3-5 drops in and the water will change colors depending on what ur ph is and the color guide is on the back

Try a Milwaukee PH 600. Its easy to use, Reliable readings, Fast response, Simple maintenance. The cost is @$40. And u can take hundreds of readings with it.. Just remember to keep it wet. I set mine in a PH buffer Solution (ph 7.01 solution) when not in use.. The only problem don't drop it in the water, even for a sec, cuz it will be garbage.. Hanna makes great ones to but for the price the Milwaukee is the bomb-bay....
