8in inline fan is hung and runs great, I have some 6in inline boosters that I will run for intake..

All that is left for venting system is clip fans and the HVAC guy to finish up by the end of the month..

I still got several more things to do but things are starting to come together.

Quick Update:

I am still waiting on HVAC guys to come in but they should be here anytime..

There has been a cold front move in that lowered the temps in the basement, enough so that it affected growth some, I have since corrected this with temporary space heaters and the temps are back up and holding at 76F..

As soon as they add the system in the basement everything will be controlled a lot better and I should not have any issues going forward with the environment..

Scrog nets are about to be built, I picked up set screws and now I am just waiting on the 3 way elbows to come in..

I am doing preventive sprays this week with PureCrop1 and I have also watered with Microbial Mass..

The last pieces of the venting system for the 10x5 tent should be here by next week, it got delayed on shipping due to some items being out of stock..

As soon as venting system is done then I will need to sort out which lights to put in the 10x5 and then vegging can begin in the tent as well..

More to come..

My @Inkbird TH3 came in yesterday, I really love the data logs and the ease of checking things..

Major system overhaul coming next week, but for now my environment is much better after picking up a humidifier yesterday..

Enjoying the read so far, really excited to see how everything turns out. I've been out of the game myself around 10 years, just getting back into it and man, LED has come a long way. Trying to figure out all of these new terms and acronyms is exhausting.

So I've spent a little time this morning digging into the terms and what not, and thinking about the readings you're taking and I can't help but realize all the mistakes I have made in past grows. I always thought more light meant bigger better buds. I have much to learn, and am excited to get started.

Sorry I completely skipped an update, Ive had such a crazy week this week and my mind has not been in the right area..

I logged all this but I forgot to put it on this site as well..

To sum this week up, Ive caught covid, lost a family pet that we buried yesterday and Ive been slowly trying to recover..

Since then I am now feeling better from covid, my mind is sad from losing our loved one, but I know that I have to continue things forward..

I have started to transplant into bigger pots and I will have a pic update here this week at some point..

Im sorry if this log isn't fully up to date, I am logging this run on several different platforms and my old brain forgets sometimes where I haven't updated..

Plants are looking good, smells are still trying to discover themselves but there is a whiff of "dank" to them, perhaps it might end up as a nice strain, time will tell.

Lights are still doing good, I have everything set to 450ppfd but I was going to raise that up to around 600ish when they get settled into their new pots..

More to come, the next update will be much more thorough, I am in the middle of doing things as I type this update..

How’s the side by side tests coming along?
Thanks for reminding me..

It's been a crazy month and hard to keep up with all the sites..

I've been logging updates on my instagram and a few other places, by the time I get those done I forget to finish the updates on all platforms "I'm old and getting forgetful".

I'm putting up an update now from just a few days ago..

Thanks for reminding me.

UPDATE: @Phlizon LED Grow Light @VIVOSUN Official @Spiderfarmerled

Here is a long overdue update, as I've stated it's been a crazy month, from battling covid, losing a beloved pet "family", and then catching another chest cold "the product of having kids that are in school, constantly sick".

As for the Dotz, they have shown sex and I am in the process of pulling males, I topped the females and I'm about to start training the ladies to get them ready for the scrog nets that I'm building soon.

I see 2 distinct phenos in this strain with the ones I started, one pheno is very chem influenced "must be stardawg heavy" and the other pheno is more piney with a bush type structure to her..

Also I kept a few secrets in the back pocket in case I needed to pull a rabbit out of a hat..

I only showcased 4 plants but I ran a full pack to ensure I had better odds..

The final sexing results has ended with 6 females, 4 males and 1 seed that never germinated.

I have tossed 2 males so far, both were more chem heavy, the other 2 I'm tossing this weekend are more of the bushy pine type "must be runtz, I've never ran that strain before".

Out of the females we have, 4 of them are more bushy pine "maybe from the runtz" and the other 2 have more of that chem feel to them.

Also on a bright note each one of these ladies has been ran under each separate light along side the others, so that will mean that each female will still be accurately compared since they have already been running under each light and this will also mean they will be as close of a comparison as I can get this run without full on clones.

In this room I have only set up for 4 plants, 1 plant for each light, so the remaining 2 ladies I will be moving to a new location and inside the 10x5 tent "I got updates for the 10x5 tent as well".

The 4 females that I am going to run out in this comparison are all the same type pheno, meaning they all are bush like piney smelling plants", they all 4 look very similar.

As for my 10x5 tent, phlizon has agreed to sponsor my tent with 2 of their PH-B10-D 800w led bars..

One of them has arrived, been assembled and is hung in the tent, the other one will be here soon and I will start to pack in the 10x5 next month.

Again I'm sorry for the late ass update, I've had a lot going on this month..

SF4000, this pheno is the more chem heavy pheno "I'll get pics of her replacement soon" and her sister who has ran beside her "bushy pine" will be taking center stage while I relocate this one.

VS4300, this pheno is the more pine smelling pheno, I topped her and she will be getting trained soon.

PL4500, this light has a very nice looking male under it that I've been tossed up on sending him to my buddy who would work with him, not sure yet..

Here is the male.

Here is the female.
20221219_124231.jpg

600w hps.. This light also produce a bushy male that I've already chopped, he has 2 replacement ladies, both of them are different phenos, I took a pic of the more stardawg heavy one, I'll get a pic of the permanent lady on the next update.

Female chem influenced
20221219_124315.jpg

Here is the 10x5 tent after the first light has been hung, the ventilation system is also complete, I had my 80k btu unit installed for the basement and 16 seer 2 ton ac unit will be installed early spring "being in canada i dont need an ac unit in the winter when its -20+ outside.

But the tent has an 8in inline exhaust fan with speed control, an 8in 407cfm booster fan, with another 6in booster fan for intake air..

I also have a few wind devil clip fans inside the tent and I'll add more of those when I get the other light and plants going into the tent.

Again I'm sorry for the late update and I hope to keep this log more up to date as I go forward, like I said I've been busy, but I also log on instagram and other platforms as well "Im not advertising them here" so I get a bit forgetful.

Thanks again for the reminder and I'll be back again shortly with another update.

Here is another quick update taken today..

I thought I would show a more up to date look at the lady's running under the leds so you all can see they are very similar.

The replacement female for the 600w hps I will show her soon, I am going to transplant her from her 2 gal pot to a 15gal pot but she looks similar to these 3 as well..

They are starting to hit their stride and I will be training them very soon..

More to come

Sorry for the late update, I've been a bit busy..

All the ladies are moving along and will be ready to flower soon.

I was unable to get 1/2 inch 3 way elbows to make scrog nets for this run, I made 2 orders for them and both times they were 3/4 inch instead, that seems to be common with china made pvc.

The last top dressing was a week ago, I top dressed with Gaia Green 4-4-4, 2-8-4, glacial rock dust and insect frass, I've also been giving them Microbial Mass Pro every other week.

So far they seem to enjoy the treatments and have started to fill out nicely, haircuts will be coming soon.

Here are some of my observations between the LED's and the HPS..

The plants ran under led lights consume a lot more water, I am watering these plants with 2 gals every 2-3 days, whereas the plant under the 600w hps is going through around 2 gals every 4 days.

Also the growth under the led lights is faster, bushier, and all around a more full plant.

The plant under the HPS is still bushy, has nice structure and is doing fine, it just uses more power and the growth isn't as fast.

At this point I'm seeing how the 400w series LED lights can not only replace the 600w hps for veg, but it actually surpasses it "while using half the power".

I've also finished my 10x5 grow tent, it is complete with 2 PH-B10 800w led light bars from Phlizon, I will be putting together a log for this tent here soon.

Does the Spectrum very much between the LEDs and the hps?
Yes, cant really compare spectrum as the hps isn't full spectrum really.

Some would say I shouldn't even be vegging with a hps, but I've done it this way for years with no terrible effects.

The plants ran under hps still stay bushy, grow nice but they use more power.
