400w hps and two 150hps in a 2x4 space.

is this good? i have 15 clones waiting to go in. its well vented and im using EBB n Flow the tray itsself is 2'x4' BTW. also i was thinking about having the 400w on top and having the 2 150w slanted on the sides so everything gets light. (almost like a vert. grow)

what do you guys think???

i am dropping only 5 and also have a 400w hps but no 150s. i souldnt imagine 15 in that 2x4

fifteen in a 2x4 thats way to bunched in my opinion and way too much light that 400 should be plenty if you ask me they put out like 50k lumens and the 150s put out 20k that is a ton of light. how are you keeping the temp?

i have 3 fans, one blowing out of the top into a room, one blowing down ontop of the 400 and one blowing from the bottom. it work well, my temps stay around 68.

im doing a sea of green with the 5" square pots, i drilled extra holes in them too. i figured 15 would be a good number because, well thats how many clones that i ended up with lol

the way i figure, the more light the better, right? that is if its well vented.

also... i dont have the 150w's in there yet, i was gonna bring them in for flowering to give them an extra boost since im vegging with the hps.

alright ya you could try it but watch the plants closlely because that is really a lot of light but if nothin goes wrong you should have some good product with good yield!!!!!

i think thats too much light man i used a 400 watt in a 2x4 closet and ended up moving it into a bigger space to grow more plants. with that amount of light u could easily grow in a 5x5 area and double ur space. if ur really restricted to a 2x4 area then im sure the 2 150 watts would work nicely, hang em each about 16 inches from the wall.

might as well save on electricity

thanks for the replies. i think im gonna make a veg box out of wood or pvc and wrap it in black plastic. its gonna be for my mothers and clones, then ill just put a batch of clones in the flowering room evry week so ill have a harvast every week after the first harvest.

will it be ok to use a 150 hps for my mothers and clones. i also have three 2foot T5 lights.
