400w DWC Tent - GDP SLH PE Grow Journal

Well this grow fucking sucks. Week 5 from sprout and I still have basically seedlings. My last 2 grows I was switching to 12/12 at this point. I'm really thinking about just trashing these but I'm hoping they pick up soon and I've already invested 5 weeks. Never again will I use big net pots.

I need to pull some money out of my ass and set up a cloner once I get some plants... this shit is silly.

You came this far, you might as well finish up. Has the roots in the buckets reach the water yet?

Not really. I topped all but 2 because they seem too small still. I lst those to promote side branching but it has been 3 days and no response yet. No problem, I'm looking for 2 or 3 plants to be culled before flower. I thought about transplanting to my old smaller net pots but I'm just going to leave them alone and ride it out. Will update the thread when things start moving and there is something worth updating or if someone has a question.

I'm thinking about going to the store today and transplanting into neoprene pucks.

Why do you think it's the net pots?

if you veg longer your roots might bust out of your net pots, I had hat happen, but I veg'd maybe 6-8 weeks. how much air/bucket are you giving. I got a 60L air pump that runs 6 buckets and a rez. 25 gallon total Also where does your water stand (im sure you have this under control) but I ride mine high for the first few weeks until I get a good established root system. Ive only done a few single bucket DWC and now run RDWC but its all somewhat relevant. Also with reference to slime, bleach has really been the only thing that has worked for me, and I would love to do bennie tea, but have not found it to work well for me. And it's messy and time consuming. Im using synth nutes so I am really not trying to grow OMRI style or anything.

The last few grows I used small net pots and got used to the growth rate. This time I used big 8" net baskets and it was taking for damn ever for the roots to grow. I have already switched to 2" neoprene collars and net pots. I had some nonsense when I went out of town and later trying to convert to undercurrent. Everything is dialed in now just kind of in mid veg... nothing special going on. Doing a little training to get 4 equal tops.

Due to time constraints and a terrible start... I am now strongly considering a hempy bucket sog under a 600w hps and 400w mh. Simple fast and perpetual. I will take some pics later.

Glad to hear everything is going great! I never had a problem with the 8" net pots I just start out with a dropper and move into the dwc works great

Subscribed! I am using 10 inch net pots and I am not too happy with the progress either. Not sure if it's related, but ya got me thinking about going to a six inch net pot. Best of luck to ya brotha!!

I got 6" Baskets, not sure if you need anymore unless you want to grow to 12 feet.

I've grown out Greenhouse Seed's SLH and G13's Pineapple Express, and I loved them both. Top quality buds for sure.

Yeah, the next jelly bean I pop is headed for a 6 incher.

This veg went pretty shitty... not gonna lie. Between the net pots, and going on a business trip and coming back to dead roots, and 3 weeks of the grow room being a train wreck after that... plants are still pretty small for like 2 months from seed. We are tired of vegging and waiting though and flipped these bitches to 12/12 about 4 days ago. Everything has been stable and cleaned up and back on track for a couple weeks. New roots and all that.

I'm def liking the neoprene collars much better. I germed in rockwool and you can see them in the 2" net pots; next time I think I'm just going to plant the seeds directly in the collars.

Today I got another 6" cool tube and a 400/250w digital Galaxy ballast. Running 400w HPS & 400w MH right now. I want to add another 250w MH for a small clone/mom area... but I will probably have to dim the new ballast so I don't overload my 15amp circuit. This will give me Flower: 400w HPS + 250w MH || Clone/Mom: 250w MH

Your light set up is exactly what I was thinking of shooting for next go round. 400 watt MH and 400 watt HPS. That shit is just plain sexy if ya ask me!

GDP is the only reg in the garden and today I found out she's a girl. The sensi star and PE just popped pistils last "night". GDP is the big one with the black lid in the middle. PE on bottom left next to her. Blueberry Headband in the red hempy at the bottom... 2 SLH in black lids at the top. Crit sensi star black lid bottom right; a real runt. Other 3 hempy buckets are grapefruit, white widow x big bud, and g13 labs chocolate heaven.

You are going to love the SLH, that i can swear to. I got my tent almost ready for the flip. two strains, four plants. GHS Kalishnikova and CH9 Greenbud (freebie). Would love to see ya pop in from time to time Malevolence

I watched this documentary about Colorado last night which looks new to me (legal for recreation) and was excellent. A couple of these growers and dispensary employees are probably on RIU.
