Ok so my buddy and i are starting a continuous grow and my buddy wanted to veg some plants under 5 75watt while i vegged the rest under a 400 watt mh.

*If you have the ability invest the 200 it costs to get the mh and hps bulbs.

You can see the plants are more than double. My buddy had temps too low but you can see the difference.

so which are the ones from the cfl's? the ones at the front?

ive got a 4 cfl's lighting the lower part of my girls, 400hps on top, not realy sure the cfl's are doing anything at all.

I think if you use both you can see why people say hps are better, the hps drowns out the light from the cfl's, its such a difference the cfl's cast shadows if you hold them under the hps.

wow looks good, i just bought that same light, looks like it does the trick, what are you using for ventilation
im using an active air blower with a homemade carbon scrubber.

The temps got pretty hot so i had to put in something. Plus with the higher temps u get a bit more smell so that took care of it. on the output of the fan i picked up a walmart air purifier with a carbon scrubber and an ionizer in it. the fan kinda blows air through it and theres no more smell :)

Also Yes the plants in front started the same time as the ones in the back. I just moved them into my flower area yesterday.

oh ok, i just looked again and only 5 lights for 5 plants? i think that is one of the reason's why they didnt do so good, but HPS will beat CFL any day
