400 watt light to 1000 watt light???

Hey guys I got a quick question I currently am growing in a 5x5 tent with a 400 watt light I grow 5 plants I use only 4x4 area of the tent ..now I want to upgrade to a bigger light but I'm woundering how much hotter will a 1000 watt be in my tent than the 400watt I been using ????? I'm running a air cooled hood with a 440 cfm exaust fan.. I want to be able to put 8 plant in the tent.... I'm just worried about heat... here's a picture of my set up now.

1000's get hot. You will have to figure out a way to exhaust the heat outside of the room the tent is in or use AC.

A 600 is doable with my house AC in the summer not sure about 1000 but you could buy a adjustable ballast that would run both a 600 & a 1000.You could always run a 600 in the warmer months and switch out to a 1000 in the cooler months

Yes that's what I'm thinking about getting a dimable 1000 watt ballast then I can dim it to 50% if needed in the warmer months
