400 mh how far away should you hang from seedlings/youngins?? Plz help

Hey everyone! First off thank you for reading this, i am not a newbie but i am always looking to get different opinions and i actually could use advice on a somewhat simple question, i know the rule if you hand gets got after one min its to hot for the plant, check the edeges of the leafs, but i have a 2 week old and a couple babys, the babies are a tad stretched so i lowed the lights they are about 8 inchs away, will my 2 week old critical haze to okay or is this to close for her? (i do not have a cooling tube)

yung uns I would start at 18-24" then lower as they used to it

i have yo yo ratchet hangers on my lights so this will be a very easy thing to do, i swear those were a great invention! thanks for your reply!!

How far away was your light before down to 8"? Temps? Sounds too close to me. I wouldn't go closer than 24-30 inches if it were me. Every setup is different. Adjust accordingly. But I know they don't need much light when they are babies. Good luck!

they are more like 10 and they were about 20, im monitoring, it seems to be doing from on the 2 week old shes pointed stright up ^ and the baby i hope will not stretch because it hasn't yet but a few more CMS and i would be a little uncomfortable but they would still be strong, Thanks so much for feedback, I have good air flow or cool air so that helps, i am going to say about 12 for now and like you said just adjust ad accordingly THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY!!!!!!!!!!!
