40 watt bulb question

Hey forum,

I found this lightbulb in a local dollar store. It's a 40 watt 120v westinghouse. I looked up the bulb online but couldn't find anything concerning the kelvin measurement of the bulb. The bulb gives off a fair amount of heat so my question to anyone knowledgeable is whether or not this bulb is a waste of space. I am mostly using it as a temp light source until I can get out to a hardware store and pick up a y splitter.

Thanks to anyone who helps!

use it as a heat source dude Ive got a 65w CLF which puts out no heat with a winter coming faster than i can think and i wont be using heat this year( environmental experiment) so i want to put a 40w halogen light with all my indoor plants, plus the candles and oil lamp. be creative go nuts. get high and just think of different things to use go cheap too for some supplies. its worth it.

Yeah I'm planning on heading back to the dollar store. They have a hot/cold cooler bag that is completely mylar for a freaking dollar. If anyone resides near a dollar tree, I'd suggest checking it out. I just put together a custom PC box and am looking to ensure my first attempt isn't a total failure.
