Congrats on your successful grow
I hear a lot of folks do this, but chopping and hanging the entire plant accomplishes the same thing, unless you believe there is some miraculous thing that happens in the while the roots are still attached.
Thanks....my 3rd indoor grow...I have no way of knowing/measuring what it actually does, I've been reading a lot online, and it seems the majority of growers feels it helps....who knows???

Must be to try and milk any extra resin production
by putting in dark since they say thats when most
of thc production takes place... the most. hm. maybe.

when the lights go off the plant sends the mobile nutes in the plant down to the roots since that's where the activity is. by keeping it dark before harvest you ensure that there are no extra nutes in the bud.
