4 weeks male or female?

Hi everyone does anyone know if this plant is a male or female??? thanks :hump:
it's about 4 weeks old ? my friend is just growing on regular soil that he found outside his house

Can't tell without some close ups of the nodes. Is he growing this indoor or outdoor? Looks pretty small he should probably let it veg for awhile longer. Has he started to the flowering cycle yet?
 
no way of telling till there sexually mature/set on the 12/12 cycle. giv it another month and half then change the light cycle. its lookin quite healthy tho keep it up.
 
i would give it a few more weeks.

thanks for all the advice everyone ! took some new pictures today and found out its a female !! I can see the lil hair thingies growing out which incidates its a female ??? Is the plant too short to be doing this ??also is the plant going keep growing taller and taller ?? any suggestions/advices? thanks ! by the way Happy thanksgiving everyone !

From my eyes that looks to younf to be any sex at the mo.

Have you got lights on it 12/12??? Thats usually when the sex of a plant shows...
 
so whats next ????? * Solo *It's showing the sex of th plant already on the top , I can see the pistils growing out ... to be honest I don't know how my friend is growing it ?? He just leaves his plant outside 24/7 hahaahahah and it started to grow.... by the way we live in california so the weather is ok to leave it out 24/7 ??? and what is this flowering stage that everyone is talking about ??? I read the FAQ but don't quite understand the cycle of it .. =o(
 
yeah, just let it grow outside..dont bring it inside, it will stress it too much... if its already been outside, just leave it there.... rite now in cali all the weeds are harvesting, which is prolly why this one is already showing its sex... just leave it out through the winter, and you will prolly have buds by feburary or late march... in the winter, the natural suns pretty much goes 2 a 12/12 cycle... notice how the suns goes down sooo early during the winter. and comes up later in the morning.
 
will it really survive through the winter, even in cali? If it were me Id bring it indoor, and put some CFLS on it!!!!
 
no they will survive... one way 2 get Purple weed is to let your plants take atleast one FROST... to where basically the whole plant is frozen...marijuana can survive anywhere... i had plants growing under the PHX sun during summer... but i have heard of plants surviving through as many as three frost... they whole point is 2 keep the plant under the same amount of light... the sun cant really be reproduced... so just leave it out there... it will be ok.
 
what kind of nutrition is good for the plant ?? does walmart sell them ???? haha right now i think my friend is just using tap water and no nutrients but the plant is growing .. doesn't it need nutrient solutions ??
 
Well female, use bloom blossom for about a week or two. It works but don't over do it and remember "a week or two"
