Im growing 4 plants since the end of February and they are growing extremely slow, but they are growing. I have pictures of the plants, 3 are regs, and one is white widow. One of the regs is starting to grow kind of funny though, branchs are very far apart. so if someone could give me some insight as to what this is. They get 16hrs of light and 8 hours of darkness. I have them in Scotts Premium Potting Soil. They have been growing in those pots since 3/9/2012. The white widow is also having some trouble draining its water so i only water it every 5 days. I water the rest of them every 3-4 days. If there is any advice you can give me on this stunted growth that would really be great!!

Fluorescent lighting isn't his problem. I have a white widow going right now that is a month and a half old and is huge and I'm using cfls

Your soil is too compact and no you dnt need metal halide.. I start under cfl's and they workk great!! restart take the plants out of that soil add perlite for drainage and airr..

at this point buddy id pull em and restart. id also pick up better/more lighting, if not, at least do 24/0 since it seems the lighting isn't ample enough.

Very good words. Be careful with the soil Scott's is MG and as such is completely dependent on correct watering practices. The soil has time releasd water activated nutes. Once you get them in their new home (BTW I would suggest getting inert perlite instead of an additional nuted product) Just give them enough to kep them moist. Do not soak the medium until you have run-off this activates too much nutes. Let thm get good and dry between waterings this will force the roots to search for moisture thus increasing the growth rate. I grew 2 plants under regular 4 foot 40w tubes one time and in 2 months they were very healthy and flourishing. So you do not need to jump into HID now. I would suggest adding much more light as they grow though, you will not harvest that much with what you currently have. And, you can never have too much light.

hi i have 2 plants that have been growing 5 days longer than yours and i have them outside all day and night, mine are 8 inch and have its 8th set of true leaves....i live in spain so light is ok atm.....by the looks of it they are needing alot more light. best thing to do if you havent got dollar to spend is just to leave them outside, depending on were you live!!!
and when transplanting if you can, try and take the whole thing out ( soil will drop off anyway ) and just plant it in a pot with enough soil so the bottom of the stem is just an inch or 2 below the lip.

IM NO EXPERT LIKE BUT THATS WHAT I HAVE DONE WITHOUT ANY CASH....

I HAVE JUST PLANTED 16 GERMINATED SEEDS SO HOPEFULLY WE WILL GET A NICE SUMMER !!!!!:weed:
